Chapter 30- Guilt

~Ryder's POV~

Two weeks. Two damn weeks, yet nothing. Nichole still hasn't woken up. Everyday I wake up hoping that maybe, just maybe I can see her beautiful smile, and gleaming brown eyes, but the only time I do get to see her is when i'm asleep dreaming of her.

I haven't gone to school these two weeks, but I found out the whole school knows about Nichole. Some students even came and visit leaving flowers, cards, and even balloons. At first I didn't want them here and shouted at them, but Juily told them to just let them in.

I stare at her unconscious body making me frown. When will she wake up? I squeeze her hand for what seems the millionth time.

My stomach grumbles and I chuckle.

"I'll be back, I just need to get food." I say to Nichole even though she doesn't respond. I give her a peck on the cheek and grab my phone and wallet from the bed.

I take the elevator down stairs to the small cafe. I wait in the line and after a couple of minutes it's my turn to order. The girl seems to be 15 or 16, but I can't tell since her face is caked in makeup. She pulls her shirt down a little, showing a littler bit of her 'cleavage.'

"Hi, I'm Eva. What can I get you?" She says fluttering her eyelashes. Desperate people.

"I would like a vanilla mocha and box of donuts." What, I'm hungry and twelve donuts sound appealing.

"Okay. Anything else?" She says in a high pitch. I cringe at the sound.

"No thank you." I say, she types into the computer.

"That will be eight dollars and fifty-three cents." She says. I nod and hand her a ten dollar bill.

"Keep the change." I say and she nods.

"What kind of donuts would you like?" She asks.

"Chocolate, glazed, and powdered." I say. She puts them in a box and hands me it. As she makes my coffee, I hear someone call my name. I turn around and see Juily and the guys behind her.

"Hey Ryder." She says.

"Hey." I say duly.

"Has she woken up?" Juily ask.

"No, not yet." I say sighing deeply.

"Don't worry she'll wake up soon." She says.

"Sure hope so." I say.

"Here's your coffee." Eva says sliding a napkin with a ten-digit number.

"I have a girlfriend whose pregnant." I say dryly sliding the napkin back to her. I hear her huff and mumble "Why are all the cute guys taken." I chuckle and grab the coffee from the counter.

"We'll be there in a few." Sebastian says as I step out the cafe. I just nod and step inside the elevator.

Walking to Nichole's hospital I sigh. I really hope she wakes up soon. I open door looking down as I step in.

"Hey Ryder." A sweet gentle voice greets. My eyes widen as my head snaps up. I drop the coffee along with the donut box. Nichole frowns as I just stand there frozen not believing my eyes.

"That's a waste of donuts." She pouts. I rub my eyes and open my eyes. I hope this isn't lack of sleep.

"Ryder are you just going to stand there and not give your girlfriend a kiss?" She asks, but my body is still frozen and my feet are stuck to the ground. I hear the guys and Juily behind me and soon enough they enter.
