A/n Ladies and Gentlemen and all my good readers! This is the chapter of answers! I hope. I had reasons for everything, but I never actually wrote them down, so I kinda forget them. Hopefully what I write in this chapter will make sense. I'm still trying to figure everything out, since I forgot everything after not updating for like, or six months. So while I write this I'm trying to remember how everything happened, like how everything was possible and stuff. So, here are answers to question some of you might have, maybe.
I freeze, not daring to turn around. It can't be. It simply can't be true. How can it?
"Turn around, Kat, you've always had the funniest reactions." No, I don't believe. Tess is gaping besides me.
"Well go on." I slowly turn around, and find the impossible. Standing in the doorway, her hair still streaked with pink and that ever present smirk on her lips, is Cassandra Low.
"H-h-how?" I stutter, unable to form a proper question.
"You brought me back. Tess activated the time machine, when she came back I came too. I'd already set it to take me back, but it shut down before I could leave. The already planned travel activated somehow when Tess turned it on. It was already logged in to bring me back, so it engaged the travel and brought me back to 2013, then skipped to 2015 since that was time Tess put it to. Similar to that scene in the last Harry Potter movie, where they go to Grimmauld Place to escape the Ministry, then instantly leave." Cassie smiles, like it's all okay. Like she can just leave for two years and expect us to act like nothing happened. Like we didn't think she was dead, like we hadn't seen her body. I know these are the exact thoughts running through Tess's head right at that moment, because she steps up to Cassie, and slaps her, hard. Tess isn't usually the violent type, but I think right now we can all forgive her.
"We thought you were dead!" she yells. She has more right than any of us to be mad at Cassie. Cassie's disappearance hit her the hardest. Cassie had often acted like an older sibling towards Tess. And Tess, being an only child, had often relied on Cassie to play that part.
"We thought you were dead! You were gone for two years! And now you show up? Thinking everything's fine? Well it isn't! I thought you dead Cassie! " The last sentence is quieter as Tess breaks into tears. Cassie's expression softens, she pulls Tess into a hug. Tess buries her face in Cassie's shoulder and cries into her shirt.
"You were dead!" Andrea yells suddenly, "We found you body! How are you alive?" Cassie pulls back from Tess quickly.
"What do you mean I was dead?" She asks, confused.
"Your body was dug up in a parking lot, Cassie. You. Were. Dead," Andrea says.
"I-I never died. I'm here now, look!" Cassie spreads her arms out, "See? I'm very much alive. What do you mean you found my body?" Jessie pulls out her phone and types something into it.
"Here." She holds the screen up so Cassie can see. There's a photo of Cassie's body on it, above the headline Missing Girl Found Dead Two Years Later. Cassie grabs the phone to take a closer look.
"This has gotta be a joke," she says, sounding slightly worried.
"It's not, read the first sentence," Jessie says, scrolling down to the article below. For the past two years, Cassandra Low, now 16, has been missing, many thought her to dead, now they know they were right.
"I don't-no...no, what?" Cassie stutters, she zooms in on the picture.
"I don't look 14 in this," she gasps, "that's not what I was wearing when I got stuck in 1983. Why do I look older?"
