"Okay, we have to watch the rest of these." Tess says, sitting down on my bed. Andrea, Jessie -who were not happy to woken up at 2:30 in the morning-and I huddle around her. My ponytail of blonde hair swings forward, Tess pushes it back impatiently.

"God Kat, move your hair." she says. I push my hair back over my shoulder. Tess excitedly presses the play button on the camera. Cassie's familiar voice sounds,

"This is so scary, I'm like, so gonna die from this." her face comes into view. She's standing on the edge of a bridge. wearing a bathing suit and goggles.

"You're not going to die, I've done this a thousand times before. Watch." the younger version of Andrea's dad flashes across the screen as he jumps off the bridge. We can hear the sound of him hitting the water, and his shouts of joy.

"Come on Bella! Jump!" he call up. We all turn to look at each other, confusion written on all of our faces. Bella? Who's Bella? Our questions are answered as Cassie calls out,

"Okay okay, I'm going. Don't be impatient!" Tess pauses the video.

"So Cassie went by Bella when she was in the past?" she asks.

"Apparently." Jessie says. Tess plays the video, and the footage is from Cassie's point of view as she jumps off the bridge. The camera goes under with her, and when she surfaces the screen is speckled with water droplets. Andrea's dad reaches out for the camera,

"This thing is not water proof, be careful with it." he says, placing it on the bank so we have a clear shot of the both of them floating in the river. The video ends with them climbing out of the river. Tess turns to us,

"Why did Cassie go by Bella?" she asks.

"I don't know." I say.

"She probably wanted a different identity, so when she was in the present our parents wouldn't think it was weird that we had a friends named Cassie who also had pink stripes in her hair and looked like an old friend." Andrea explains.

Jessie reaches over Tess's shoulder to play the next video. In this one, Cassie is alone.

"Guys, I hope you get this. I hope you find this camera some day and watch this. Because I need your help." she sounds desperate, "I'm stuck, I can't get back. It won't let me. I've traveled too many times. The machine won't let me travel again. I overused it. Guys, when you get this, I hope you can help me. I don't want to be stuck in the past. The machine is under the stairs, in the basement of the lake house. Instructions should be there somewhere. This is Cassie Low, it's 2013 in the present time, but it's 1983 in the time period I'm in now. I've invented time travel, and I can't get back," tears spill down Cassie' face, "I can't get back to the present. I want to get back. He's going to kill me. Please. Help me. I love you guys, and I trust you." The video ends as the door to whatever room Cassie is in is kicked down, a large figure is silhouetted against the bright light, a large knife is visible in his hand. Cassie screams just as the camera shuts off.
