A/N Oh my god I am so sorry for the long wait please don't kill me!!!! It's just I had a wifi-less end of the summer and then school started. And I'm so sorry for how crappy the last chapter was!!!! Writing chapter 13 was definitely not one of my finest moments. I feel like I let you guys down by writing a crappy chapter then not updating for a month! So I'm sorry for that and here's the update you've been waiting for! Enjoy! :)

I burst back out the door and come to a halt on the front steps.

How? I send the message to Tess, replying to her earlier pleas for help.

idk Tess responds, just help me plz, he's gonna kill me!

Who is? I rush down the steps and climb back into my car

idk no one looks the way they're supposed to.

what does that mean? I back out of the driveway, and start to head back to the lake house.

it means everyone is younger than they r irl

come back tess, plz.

i cnt. idk how!!!!!!!

just try, plz There's no reply after that, I wait a few minutes before letting dread fill my stomach. My phone buzzes again, and I whip it out.

go 2 ur house The messages says. I obey the text, and make a right turn to my street.

I pull up in front of my house just as a flash of blue light illuminates the scene. The light fades to reveal a very petrified looking Tess leaning against the base of a tree. The time machine is clutched tightly in her hands. Jessie, Andrea, and I all scramble out of the car and rush to Tess's side.

"Tess?" I say, placing a hand on her shoulder.

"He-he tried to kill me." she gasps. Up close, I can see that her eyes are glistening with tears.

"Who tried to kill you?" I ask gently. Tess shakes her head in response, tears start rolling down her face. I wrap my arms around her, and let her bury her face in my shoulder.

"No one's trying to kill you anymore." I say. Jessie and Andrea reach out to hug her too, and soon we're in one big group hug on the front lawn of my house.

My room is, unfortunately, one of those rooms that can be described in one word. Messy. Clothes are strewn across the floor and over my desk chair. Friday's homework is scattered across my desk and textbooks are piled in a corner.

"Wow. Did a tornado pass through or something?" Jessie asks.

"Not a tornado, a hurricane. Hurricane Me." I say, flopping down on my bed. Tess's camera thwacks against the wall. I had completely forgotten I was holding it.

"Careful!" Tess yells, rushing over to the bed and grabbing the camera from my hands. She cradles it like it's her baby.

"You break my camera and I will kill you with it's shattered pieces." Tess says, pointing a scolding finger in my direction. That would have sounded menacing, but considering the fact that Tess just isn't a very menacing person, it doesn't sound like any form of threat. Also, there's a smile playing along her lips. She's trying to scowl and look scary, but I'm a good head taller than her -even with her 3 inch platform heels- and she couldn't keep a straight face to save her, so scary just isn't a good look for her.

I pluck the camera from her hand and hold it over my head, waving it teasingly.

"I wanna see you try." I say, grinning.

"Give it back!" Tess whines. She jumps up to reach it, but misses.

"What's the magic word?" Tess picks up a pencil from my desk.

"Avada Kedavra!" she yells. I laugh, and drop to the floor, pretending to die.

Tess skips around the clothes on my floor to get to me and takes her camera back. She points it at her face and says,

"Now, that is how to properly retrieve a stolen camera." Her eyes widen suddenly as she remembers something.

"Kat!" she gasps, "we never showed you the video of Cassie!"

I sit up and take the camera from her.

"What video?" I question. Tess takes her camera back and starts scrolling through videos.

"The one that proves Cassie's alive!" Tess find the video, and plays it.

"Tess, there is nothing out there. You can out your camera away." Andrea's voice sounds from the camera, but the view is Tess's back yard.

"Yes there is. Someones coming." Tess says.

"How can you tell?" Jessie asks, her voice closer to the camera than Andrea's. She must have walked over to Tess to join her at the window.

"There's a shadow coming." Tess's hand shows up on the screen, she's pointing at a shadow moving across her lawn.

"Who is it?" Jessie asks.

"I dunno" Tess replies. Then the figure steps out into the view of the camera. It's Cassie.

"Wait- is that Cassie?" Tess says. The camera zooms in on the figures face. "It is! It is Cassie! Cassie's alive!" Tess yells. The video ends.

Cassie really is alive.
