I'm left staring at the camera. If that really was true, and it really was Cassie, then everything just got super weird. And that's considering the fact that my friends and I have discovered time travel.

"Are you sure that wasn't just someone who looked like Cassie?" I ask skeptically.

"I'm sure," Tess says.

"Well then, that's...weird," I say, even though weird doesn't even begin to describe what this is like.

"But we- we saw her body! And- it just doesn't make sense." It's silent for a moment, then,

"Maybe there are two of her." Andrea's voice is barely a whisper.

"How would that work?" I ask, "and why am I now the one who doesn't believe anything. If I remember correctly, you were the one who kept insisting time travel wasn't possible!" Andrea shrugs.

"Time travel has been proven to be possible. If that's possible, who knows what else is."

"Magic!" Tess sounds way too excited.

"Aside from magic." Tess crosses her arms and huffs.

"Girls? I'm going out for a meeting, I made sandwiches if you get hungry!" My mom calls up the stairs.

"Kay!" I answer. I hear her unlock the front door, and close it. Her car pulls out of the driveway.

"Anyone hungry?" I ask, looking around.

"Yes!" Tess yells, jumping up and rushing downstairs. A piece of paper gets blown to the floor. Jessie, Andrea, and I exit my room, I put the paper back on the way out.

Down in the kitchen, Tess is happily munching on peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. The winds rustles the bushes outside.

"Save some for me!" Jessie complains, joining Tess at the table. Andrea picks up the paper from where it still sits on the counter, and starts flipping through it.

"Nothing interesting happens anymore," Andrea sighs.

"You mean nothing besides, oh, I don't know, discovering time travel?" I say, flicking crumbs at her.

"So," I lean my elbows on the table and rest my chin in my hands, "How could Cassie be here? We saw the video of her saying she was stuck in 1883 or whatever, so how did she manage to get back? Like, if she couldn't use the machine anymore, how was she here? There's have to be two of her, right?" The bushes rustle again.

"If you want to know, why don't you just ask me?"

A/n OMGOMGOMG I'm so sorry for not updating this since like, December or whatever. It's just I've been writing a lot of other stuff too and kinda forgot about this. But now I have updated!!!!!! Yay!!!!!! *throws confetti* Anyways, sorry this chapter is short. It's a kinda pathetic update. But the next chapter will hold answers. If I can remember the answers. I had a plan a long time ago on how everything happened, but I kinda forget it now. So let's hope my reasoning for everything so far makes sense!
