A/N early update, because I will be busy with stuff and won't update this week, and maybe next week.
Also, please forgive me for this chapter.

Kuroo was more than stressed.

His mother, his source of inspiration and courage, was in the hospital, inches away from her death.

Everything would be fine and all, if the surgery wouldn't cost so much. Kuroo took every single cent that he had, Kenma gave everything that he had, but they were still short on money.

Kuroo's mother asked him not to do anything, to forget about it, but how can Kuroo just leave his mother to die?

~~~
"Mom....why didn't you tell me?" Kuroo asked as his mother approached him.
"I'm sorry, Tetsurou... I didn't want you to worry" she placed her hand on his shoulder. Kuroo looked at her teary eyed.
"Tetsurou.. Don't worry about it. I just want you to be happy" she smiled widely at her son, at her biggest achievement in life.
"Are you telling me to just brush it off? I won't. I will do my best and.. And I will gather enough money for the surgery"
~~~

The only thing, Kuroo completely forgot about the fact that his boyfriend is still there.

Kenma felt...forgotten.

Yes, he did understand that Kuroo is busy will all that stuff, but at least saying a few words to him wouldn't hurt.

Kuroo was currently making frantic phone calls to everyone that he knew, asking for help, while Kenma was in the kitchen, sitting on the chair. Music was quietly playing. It was one of his favorite songs at the moment called Single by The Neighborhood.

"Okay...let's try and call Daichi" Kuroo said to himself.

..

"Hey, it's Kuroo"

..

"Yeah.. I wanted to ask a favor"

..

"My mom is sorta in trouble and I wanted to ssk if you could lend me some money"

..

"Thank you so much, Daichi. I owe you"

He hung up and sighed. So far everyone agreed on helping, but there still wasn't enough.

Kenma stood up and took his phone. He made his way to the couch and sat down next to Kuroo.

"Hey, it's Kuroo"

..

"Yeah. I'm sorry I haven't called"

..

"Could I ask you for a favor?"

..

"My mom is in trouble, could you lend me some money?"

..

"Oh.. I understand. Akaashi is top priority now, eh? I hope he heals soon"

Kuroo once again sighed and hid his face in his hands.

"Kuroo?" Kenma poked his arm, trying to gain his attention.

"K-Kuroo..?" He asked once more when the taller male didn't respond.

"...k-kuroo..?" Kenma was worried, but soon his worries turned into fear.

Kuroo turned his head to him, clearly annoyed.

"What do you want?!" he half-screamed at him.

"I-I j-just wanted t-to---" Kenma had a hard time speaking, he was scared of Kuroo when he was angry, since he had a chance to see what happens once he is like this. He knew Kuroo has anger issues, and he may just triggered something.

"Stop stuttering! Can't you see I'm busy? I've been up all night trying to figure out what to do and you are seriously annoying me!" Kuroo stood up in his full height. He was so tall compared to a little frightened kitten, shivering in fear.

"Kuroo, I want to help too! You don't pay attention to me at all!" Kenma finally said. He regretted it instantly.

"Help me?! I don't need your help! Like you would be able to help me anyway! All you do is live in my place, use my stuff and not do anything else! How can I pay attention to you when I have more important stuff to do?! Jeez, you are getting on my nerves! Just get out, leave me alone! Just leave! I don't need you anyways.." Kuroo lost his mind for a minute, blurting out meaningless things at the person he loved more than anything else in the world.

Kenma stood up, frightened, sad and broken.

He backed away from Kuroo, not daring to look him in the eye. As he put his shoes on, he glanced at Kuroo.

That glance broke Kuroo's state, he finally understood what he said.

"Kenma, wait, I didn't mean i--!" Kuroo started saying and took steps forward.

"You are right. I'll leave...and never come back. Goodbye, Kuroo" Kenma interupted him and left.

Along with him leaving, Kuroo lost the last bit of sanity, breaking down in the middle of the room and crying for hours on a stone cold floor.

I promised not to kill, but break-ups are worse than death at this point.

Props to Chapter's 4.5 Kenma's protection squad for giving me this idea. Thanks guys!
