Unexpected - Part 22

Dan's POV

I called for an ambulance, they told me they would be here as soon as possible. I hung up afterwards and told her to hold on. I was trying to comfort her but then she started to cry out in pain. I took her hand and told her to squeeze it anytime to felt pain, but what I didn't know is that she was feeling constant pain.

"Dan I think the baby's coming"

"Oh no. oh no no. That's not good, she's not due for another week. Uhm. alright. The ambulance will be here soon okay" She nodded and then looked at me.

"Dan I don't feel good."

"Hold on (Y/n) just stay with me"

"I'm so scared."

"So am I."

The paramedics begun to bang on the door, so I rush over and let them in. I told them the situation and they just did their job. They said she needed to go to the hospital immediately and that her and the baby were both at risk. I was panicking internally, I had no idea what to do. there was nothing I could do. (Y/n) began to cry out in pain again, it was killing me inside. They got her into the ambulance as quick as possible and begun rushing us to the hospital. She was going through her contractions, but the paramedics told her not to do anything as it could do worse than good.

"It's not normal for me to feel tired and dizzy is it guys?"

The paramedic in the back with us looked at me concerning. I was taking that as a no, which just put me on edge. The paramedic checked her stats and noticed that there was more blood coming from between her legs.

"(Y/n) You're going through some blood loss at the moment but you need to hold on with us okay. we will be there soon. "

She was going through another contraction after he said that, she was cursing and crying that it hurt so much. I wish I could help her take some of that pain away. She didn't deserve this. and now I was at risk of losing the both of them. She started to calm down after a few minutes, but something was wrong. Her eye lids started to get heavy and her voice was fading.

"(Y/n), Come on stay with me"

I took my hand and held it in hers squeezing it. I tried to get her to keep talking to me but that didn't last very long. We pulled up to the hospital and the paramedics rushed her off. I wanted to come with them. But they held me back.

"Sir I know you're worried, but we need you to stay out here, we need to rush her into surgery so we will get you when we can"

They raced off ad took her behind the doors. I was freaking out. I never got to tell her how I felt about her. what if it was too late? What If i never see her again. what if she loses the baby. I did the only thing i thought I could. Hot tears ran down my face as I listened out for a voice.

"Hey Dan"

"Phil. I. I. "

"What's wrong"

"They took her away, she started bleeding, the baby started coming, she faded out to unconsciousness because of the blood loss. and they wont let me see her. Phil. I love her and i never got to tell her: What if something happens and I missed my chance"

"Dan I know it's hard, but you need to believe right now. okay. I'm gonna come down there to be with you. I'll be there as soon as I can".

I put my phone into my pocket and slumped into the chair. All of my pent up emotions just flooded out and I began to cry uncontrollably. What would I do without her?
