So.....

I'm not really sure how tags get started or, whatever, but I recently got a weirdly quick rise in my follower count and felt inspired to create a tag as my way of celebrating. I don't know how this is going to go or if it's just gonna be weird and awkward. (please don't make it too awkward for me) Anyway, I thought this was kind of a cute idea in my late night inspiration mania. So since we are all writers and enjoy reading (or at least I assume we do) I thought it would be cool to learn all about the books in everyone's lives.

So here we go,

1. Favorite book at the moment

Alice by Christina Henry

2. Favorite Classic Author

It's a toss-up between Oscar Wilde and Edgar Allen Poe

3. Book you remember someone reading to you when you were a kid

My older sister read the first 5 Harry Potter books to me when I was young

4. Book you are currently reading or read most most recently

One of my co-workers lent me a book called Geek Love by Katherine Dunn so currently I'm reading that

5. Favorite book you had to read for school

Either The Hobbit or The Great Gatsby, I loved them both

6. First book on the top shelf of your main bookcase

The Spirit Thief by Rachel Aaron

7. Favorite book-to-screen adaptation (can be a movie or tv adaptation)

The Lord of the Rings - The movies may not have been entirely accurate to the books, but they were amazing and I'll always love them just as must as the books.

8. Favorite place to read

On my back porch, on a not too hot summer day... or my bed

9. Book you would like to recommend to someone

Project Cain by Geoffrey Girard - This book was super, super creepy but it was also amazing and it was one of those books that I just could not put down

10. How many bookcases do you have in your room?

I have 2, one is smaller and has four shelves and the other is quite a bit larger and has 6 shelves.

11. Favorite character in literature

There are so many, but I have to go with my original favorite and the girl that taught me how to be smart, strong, brave, loyal and pretty much everything else...Hermione Granger

12. Big-name bookstores or little "mom n' pop" type shops

Honestly, if I'm looking for something specific I go straight for the big-name stores, but if I'm browsing I'll take the smaller stores any day. It's the best way to find surprise, unknown literary gems.

Tagging: You can tag however many people you want, and I am tagging...
