THIRTEEN.
"No records? As in gone?" Van asked the sheriff unbelievably, kahit ako ay hindi makapaniwala, this crappy town is really... odd.
The sheriff shook his head, "Hindi nawala. Wala talagang mga krimen ang nangyayari dito sa amin." He said then glanced at me at pinasadahan ako ng tingin mula ulo hanggang paa. Tuh. Pervert asshole.
Thean shook his head, "I don't believe it." Sabi niya and me neither, walang krimen? Really? Wala ng ganyan na lugar sa mundo ngayon.
"Maniwala kayo o hindi pero wala talaga, ano ba ang gusto ng NBI sa isang komunidad katulad ng saamin? Halos dati ay wala silang pake." Sabi ni Sheriff, his angry voice is so clear.
"Well-- we... uhh.." Umirap ako when Thean couldn't think of any alibis.
"We are doing a survey on how many crimes happened for the whole year." I answered, Thean nodded and smiled at the sheriff
"At ano namang mangyayari kapag nakumpleto niyo ang survey?" Naka-taas kilay na tanong ng sheriff, like he's not buying our alibis.
"We're gonna make a plan to reduce the crimes" Diretso at walang alinlangang sagot ni Van, good thing that one of my brother is a descendant of Einstein. Or else we'll be busted. Tuh.
We left the police station as we finished checking it out, kaagad tinanggal ni Thean ang tie niya and, "No crimes? I don't believe it."
"Me neither. Don't you feel something about this town?" Tanong ni Van saaming dalawa.
"Well, I felt that this town was a shitty bullcrap one" Inis na sambit ni Thean, I nodded in agreement. Freaking town.
"Hindi kaya nagsisinungaling lang ang sheriff satin?" Van asked.
I shrugged, "I doubt it. Nakita mo ang records it's all empty." Sabi ko, and besides, I didn't sensed that the Sheriff is lying.
"Pwede din namang nakatago ang original copy. I'd say we should get back later" Sabi ni Thean na malawak na ang ngisi ngayon.
I nodded, "I'm i--"
"No you can't, Alexa" Sabay na sabi ni Van at Thean.
I rolled my eyes at them, "Why can't I? I'm your sister!" Inis na sabi ko.
Ugh. This two is really irritating, mabuti nung nasa Pennsylvania ako ay malaya akong nakakapag-hunt at walang pumipigil o nagbabawal sakin.
"It's dangerous." Sabi ni Van and shrugged.
Umirap uli ako, "So? You know I've done things more dangerous than breaking & entering a police station." I said in a matter of fact tone.
We are debating about me coming with them later until we reached the crappy hotel, ugh.
"Fine. If you don't want me to come with you, I'll go in my own." I irritatingly said.
"Hindi nga pwede, Alexa!" Inis na sabi ni Thean at hinilamos ang palad sa mukha, he's so frustrated to the fact that I can sense it so bad.
"What? Hindi ako pwede sumama sainyo so go on. But you won't stop me if I go there alone." Sabi ko, huh, irritating brothers.
In the end, they agreed to let me come, ni-ready na namin ang mga guns na gagamitin namin. The others will stay here.
We can't risk kung lahat kami ay mahuli sa pag-pasok namin sa police station. Atleast, if we get caught, they are there to continue the task and help us get out.
"Don't die." Sabi ni Jenna sakin, inirapan ko siya at hindi na nagsalita pa, I know she's just concerned
But damn it, I won't die. I'm a vampire for crying out loud.
