Today is January 14th and it just so happens to be the day we all get tested to find out who the baby belongs to. My mind is all over the place with this because theres a lot of risk that comes with things like this not only for my relationship that im trying to fix with August but also for the baby. I dont want to harm my baby but i dont also want to go another day without knowing the truth. It was 5 in the morning and i was just staring at the wall just thinking about alot. My appointment isnt until 9 and im surprised im not sleep but i just cant especially with Melanie beside me sleeping like a wild animal. Me and August have been productively working on each other and its great so far. Im happy and i know for sure he is but im not rushing things for sure. Im not going to make the same mistakes i made before which is why im taking things slow. Today will actually be the first day i have seen Jayden in a long time and im not too happy about it. He barely ever answers my text and when he does he's simple and short with his responses. Im not really complaining though cause he's off living his life while im living mine happily. Im actually 4 months pregnant today and i love it, Melanie does as well. I find out the gender next week and by then i should know who the father of my baby is. Even though this is a stressful process, i still smile and try to remain happy for Melanie and my unborn child. Bringing me straight out of my thoughts i noticed my phone was ringing. I frowned because its very early and i dont know who would even be awake at this time. I picked up my phone and smiled brightly noticing August calling.

August: i guess my instincts were correct

Rae: (smiling) and what were they telling you exactly

August: that my queen is up staring at walls and thinking about life

Rae: you know me so well, like i really cant sleep. I cant get comfortable because of the monkey child who sleeps just like her father.

August: (chuckling) thats daddy's girl for you

Rae: can you come over here actually i want to talk to you but i dont feel like holding this phone?

August: ill be there in a jiffy

I hung up the phone placing my phone back on the nightstand. I eased my way out of the bed trying not to wake Melanie and walked downstairs. The second i got down there i noticed Gloria was already down here. "Well good morning Mommy." She said looking at me. I smiled lightly before speaking myself. "Good morning. Now why are you up so early?" "I have to be to work by 6:30am." I nodded noticing her work attire and even seen Emanuel eating breakfast at the table. He's turning 7 in 3 weeks, his birthday is February 4th. He's so handsome and growing up fast just like Melanie. "Good Morning Tiá." i smiled and walked to him kissing his forehead. "Good morning baby." "Now you are up because?" Gloria asked turning her back to me going back to what she was doing. "Oh i couldnt sleep." she nodded and the door bell ranged. She frowned turning to me while a smile formed on my face. "You expecting someone?" I nodded and walked straight to the door. I opened the door and seen August with a bag in his hand. I smiled before he leaned in and kissed me. "Good Morning Wifey." "Good Morning Mister." He shook his head walking in. "I hear my sister, where she at?" "Kitchen." We both walked to the kitchen together arm and arm, and of course him being the person he is he had to be loud as ever. "Yo, tell me that aint big sis and nephew. Tell me that aint big sis and nephew." he yelled to the top of his lungs giving them a shoutout. I looked at him with wide eyes. "Melanie is still sleep. If she wakes up because of you, you'll be putting her back to sleep." He looked at me and sucked his teeth still feeling the need to be loud. I laughed and so did Gloria as she gave him a slight hug. "Hey uncle August." "Whats good nephew?" August sat in the seat beside Emanuel and they began whispering about whatever. After a moment or two went by we all heard loud wailing coming from upstairs. I shook my head and looked at August pointing towards the stairs. Melanie is still in the terrible twos stage and i cant wait till she grows out of it. August groaned as he got up and began walking upstairs. "Well we're going, i don't wanna be late for work. Bye August." Gloria said and yelled giving Manny his bookbag before they both came and hugged me then left out the door. Not too long after they left August came down the stairs holding our baby girl. She had her head on his shoulders and it was such a beautiful sight. She is such a daddy's girl but it's nice to know that they have a close bond. After some time past he ended up putting her back to sleep and it was just the two of us sitting down stairs on the couch. I had my head laying on his shoulder and his hands was on my stomach. He kissed my forehead before he said something. "Stop stressing." He told me and I looked up into his eyes. "Who's stressing?" He sucked his teeth. "Girl I know you, dont forget that. Now stop stressing like I said." "Okay." There was a long silence between us, all you could hear was the two of us breathing. "You know even if it isnt mine, its still mine no matter what." I looked up at him and a tear fell from my eye. He took his thumb and slowly wiped the tear as he slowly began to rock the two of us and i began to fall asleep. When i woke up i was no longer in August arms which slightly disappointed me. I looked at the clock on the opposite wall seeing that i been needed to take Mel to daycare. I went upstairs to go get her but didnt see her instead i seen a note which said
