"GarGar?" My mother's voice said from the doorway of the guest bedroom.
"Yes?" I replied, not looking away from my computer screen.
"Well, there's a program on the television I thought you might want to see..."
"I don't care about Beyoncé, Mum," I answered, clicking a link on my laptop.
"It's not Beyoncé. It's... Aphmau."
I looked up and closed my laptop, "Very well."
Father and Vylad were already sitting in the corner, eyes focused on the television screen. The audio was trapping me once I stepped into the room. Thanks, Surround Sound.
I sat on the empty sofa, my eyes trained on what was happening.
Aphmau was pictured standing on a stage, smaller than the ones on the tour but enough for it be worthy on TV, a piano behind her. She spoke without much emotion, looking out at the crowd of people, "Thank you, Phoenix Drop, for an outstanding night. It's great to be home once more. But to finish the concert off, I wrote a song that's... special to me," she took a rough intake of air, "A month ago, my happiness was torn from me. Zianna, I hope you did your job well."
I looked at my mother and she smiled innocently, "Surprise...!"
"Garroth, I hope this song explains what I meant back then." She walked over to the piano behind her and put the mic into the stand, positioned in front of the seat. She sat down, and I could clearly see that she was waiting for this moment. (Play video - All credit goes to Little Mix)
