I stood at the edge of the stage, "Can we all welcome one of the most important people of my life? Let me tell you, this person has been special to me for nearly two months now. Since this is our last show of the tour, Alex has agreed to my boyfriend and I sing a duet we wrote," the crowd reacted in joyous excitement as I called out, "Several months ago, I sang a duet with Garroth Ro'Meave. And we're back to sing another."

I walked over to the backstage, grabbed his hand and led him to the two microphone stands in the center of the stage as the music started. (Play video - All credit goes to Us The Duo)

There's no combination of words I could put on the back of a postcard
The song that I can sing
But I can try for your heart

Our dreams, they're made of real things
Like a shoebox of photographs
Of sepia tone loving

Love is the answer
At least, for most of the questions in my heart
Like, "Why are we here?" and "Where do we go?"
And "How come it's so hard?"

It's not always easy and sometimes life can be deceiving
I'll tell you one thing
It's always better when we're together

Mmm, it's always better when we're together
Yeah, we'll look at the stars when we're together
Well, it's always better when we're together
Yeah, it's always better when we're together

All of these moments just may find their own way into my dreams tonight
But I know that they'll be gone
When the morning light sings and brings new things

For tomorrow night you'll see
That they'll be gone soon
So many things I have to do

But if all of these dreams might find a way
Into my day to day scene
I'll be under the impression
I was somewhere in-between

With only two, just me and you
Now, so many things we got to do
Or places we've got to be
We'll sleep beneath the mango tree, now

Yeah, it's always better when we're together
Mmm, somewhere in-between together
Well, it's always better when we're together
Yeah, it's always better when we're together

I believe in memories
They look so, so pretty when I sleep
When I wake up, you look so pretty
Sleeping next to me

But there is not enough time
There is no, no song I could sing
And there is no combination of words I could say
But I will still tell you one thing
We're Better Together

"How does it feel now that the tour is over?" Garroth asked me as we walked down the snowy streets of a rural area a couple of hours out of Tu'La. The ground was covered with an inch-thick layer of snow as we walked, more flakes of white drifting around us. Our hands were held together, wrapped in mittens and my head wrapped in a beanie.

"It feels strange, but I'm glad now there's a break in my career while yours is lifting off," I stared off at the hillside covered in snow, sniffling through the cold.

"I hope one day I'll become as successful as you," he squeezed my hand, but I, however, tensed up. But I'm afraid he'll get power-hungry for fame, Garte's words rang through my mind.

"Success doesn't matter as long as you're doing what you love. Fame, to me, doesn't matter," I answered, staring straight ahead.

"Doesn't your love for something grow when you're noticed for it, though? If I become popular, I'd love my career even more."

I stopped and let go of his hand, turned my head to look at him, "Do you really think that matters?"

"Absolutely."

I looked down, "Listen to me, Garroth. If what you're saying were true, I would be the happiest person alive."

"But you already seem like it," he reached for my hand again, but I pulled it away.

"Well I'm not."
