In the end Notorious and i had to catch a bus to get back to the Fable, we almost weren't allowed on, apparently two teenagers covered in blood worried some of the passengers, but Notorious quickly thought up a few excuses and charmed the bus driver into letting us stay on.

We got back to Notorious' house to find the door still wide open.

"We're back!" Notorious shouted.

Merredith slid down the stairs banister and landed gracefully at the bottom.

"You were gone?" She asked happily.

I stood with my mouth hanging open.

"We... We were kidnapped by were-wolfs and beaten bloody." I stuttered in disbelief.

"Did you happen to grab any painkillers while you  were out? Hermy has a bit of a hangover."

Notorious nipped into the kitchen and threw out a box of painkillers and Merredith blew her a kiss in thanks before running back upstairs.

"She didn't even ask if we're okay..."

"She's used to me turning up covered in blood with a black eye or two." Notorious shrugged. "But normally it isn't my own blood."

I blinked, trying to get my head around their blaze' approach to being kidnapped.

"Quick training session after we're all patched up? I've got something really cool to show you." Notorious grinned. She still had blood between her teeth.

I sighed.

Hermit had instructed Notorious and i to lay down and not move, so naturally, Notorious started fidgeting.

"When can i get up?" Notorious sighed, lifting her head off of her bed.

Hermit walked over, slapped Notorious on the head and made her lay back down.

"When I'm done." He said, rubbing his hands together like an evil scientist.

The more he rubbed his hands together, they started to glow orange.

"What the..." I breathed.

"Shh!" He scowled.

He opened his hands and there was a ball of the orange glowing light between his hands.

"Say 'ahh'." Hermit grinned.

Notorious opened her mouth and the ball of light turned into a smokey consistency and Notorious breathed it in.

Her eyes turned bright orange, and then slowly faded to their natural colour."Awesome!" I said craning my neck to get a better look.

Hermit frowned and put his index finger on my chest.

A wave of electricity shot through me and my body stiffened, making me lay back down.

Hermit laughed and i kept glaring at him, even as he started to create the ball of healing light again.

Once we were both healed, Notorious and i made our way down to the training room.

"What are you training me to do this time?"

"Nothing particularly useful unless, that is, your target isn't moving and isn't attacking you."

"So, useless then?"

"No, its almost useless."

"You're awkward."

"You're ginger."
