Mae's POV:
I was spooning Eli. My head rested on his back and he pulled my hand into his chest. I felt like I was in an episode of American Horror Story. I couldn't explain the feelings I was having. But I never wanted them to go away. I was slowly starting to fall asleep when Eli's phone started ringing.
"Hello."
"What?!"
"I'll be there soon!"
"What's going on!" "Mae, just get some clothes on and meet me in the car! Now!"
I scrambled around, threw on a black t-shirt and my flip flops. Eli put on a t-shirt and we ran to the car. He jammed the key into the ignition and we flew down the street. "My mom was in a car accident, Mae." "Oh my god!"

This was the shortest chapter I've ever written but I tried to leave off on a cliff hanger.
