Chapter 20

Emma's pov

"So peter, try again. How do we translate a futurum exactum?" Miss Mills asked. Well, not asked. More like commanded.

"Umm, with will?" Peter tried.

"Don't ask me!" Miss Mills said as offended.

"You were supposed to know this a year ago, how do you expect me to teach you if you don't know what you're supposed to know already?!" Miss Mills snapped.

She turned to the board and wrote down a sentence in latin.

"Si firem iuraveritis, vobis salutem dabo. Does anyone kon how to translate this?" she asked annoyed.

No one answered.

"Anyone?!"

That was when the bell saved us all.

"I want you to learn the futurum for the next lesson. Including how to translate it!" she said while everyone was packing.

It was wednesday the next week. Killian and I had been chatting almost every day and really got to know each other better, which was really nice.

Mr Underbrooke wasn't at school, thank god, so we had a free hour. We were planning on doing some homework, but, well, we didn't. Ruby, Belle and Lily just sat there talking. I wanted to join the conversation, but I couldn't. They were talking about some fandom that I didn't know, but apparently they have all been part of it ever since they met.

I felt my phone buzz, so I grabbed it. Suprise, suprise, it was Killian.

I heard you had a free period, so I decided to text you😊

Yes, I do have a free period, but aren't you supposed to be teaching your class or something? If you don't they'll never get smart😦

They probably won't anyway😉 but for now, they are doing their homework, and I don't really have anything better to do than to text you.

I couldn't help but smile a little. Belle must have noticed.

"Who are you texting?" She asked me.

"Just some old friend." I lied. But when I realised how stupid that must have sounded, since I never had any friends, it was too late.

They all looked confused at me.

"An internet friend. I never met her." I lied again.

They all nodded and went back to fangirling.

I looked back at my screen.

You still there, Swan?

Yeah, it's just, my friends almost caught me😲.

Is that such a problem? I mean, it not like we're.. Well, you know.

This message acctually kinda dissapointed me, eventhough I did know.

I didn't really know how to reply to this. I mean, of course I wanted it, but it was just so wrong...

Suddendly Ruby jumped up and ran behind me. I quickly put my phone away so she wouldn't see, but it was too late.

"Your internet friend is heart?" she asked, clearly not believing me anymore. Not that she believed me before she saw this.

Yes, I put Killian in my phone as ❤, so if something like this would happen, they wouldn't know that it was him. Maybe I should have chosen something different, like just a smiley face, or something.

"Yeah..." I said.

"Em, I am not buying it.. Who are you texting?" she smirked.

"Do you have a boyfriend?"

"No." I answered way too quickly.

"Sure..." She smirked as she walked back to Belle and Lily.

"It's the thruth!" I said, not lying this time. It was the thruth. Sadly.

As soon as she sat down I got up and walked away. The free period was almost over, and we had a break right after it, which ment Killian had some free time now aswell. I think we have some talking to do...

This chapter is a little longer than the others, since this is the 20th chapter (yaaay). I'll update again within this hour, so stay tuned😘😘
