Chapter 2: Confession

"Hi, nice to meet you." our American guest said

"Please, right this way." I said and accompany them at their respective table

"So your child is allergic to dairy products, correct?" I asked 

"That's right thank you. Much appreciated." the father said

"You're very welcome." I said

"So the vegetables, they're all organic, right?" the mother asked

"Well..." I don't know what to say! I haven't check it! What do I do?! "Please let me check." I said and went to Gray-sama

"High class customers always have lots of specific need. Didn't you confirm it firsthand?" he said in monotone but I can feel that he is angry at me again

"I'm sorry. My mind was so fixated on the allergy." I said

"Can't you focus on more than one thing at once? Your brain capacity is no more than a dog's." he said

"D-Dog?"

"You have 30 more minutes until the organic local grocer closes." he said not even looking at me. I look at my watch and run to the store.

The store closes as soon as I arrived. I saw the delivery truck, about to go away. I found a delivery vehicle nearby and use it to catch up with the delivery truck. 

"Thanks as always. I'm from Fairy Hotel." I said to the driver after I catch up to him.

"This salad is made from organic vegetables from Aomori." I said serving the dish to the family earlier

"Thank you, it looks delicious." the father said

"Enjoy your meal." I said and went back to Gray-sama with a huge smile on my face

"If you had confirmed it from the start you wouldn't have needed to run around. You're incredibly inefficient" he said

"I guess you're right." I said fading the smile i just have "But a dog wouldn't be able to go this far." I said under my breath

"I have something to say later. Wait in the halls." he said

I wait outside the event room and wait for him as he ordered. What kind of scolding will I get this time?

"Excuse me, please keep the scoldings simple. My brain capacity is that of a dog's, after all." I said in monotone

"Not "of a dog", it's no more than a dog. You're memory is even worse, huh?" he said insulting me more.

"So what's the matter?" I asked

"Won't you go out with me?"

"Eh?!" What did he just said? "Excuse me...What do you mean go out? Aren't you going to say, "Just kidding!" or something...? I think for a woman and a man..."

"Was that supposed to be funny?" he said without even changing his facial expression. He always have that poker face. I haven't seen him smile for once. "When I say go out, I mean what it actually means."

"So then...Are you saying you like Juvia?" I asked

"I didn't say that." he said

"Well, excuse me...I don't really understand." I said and covers my face by my hands

"Even if I don't like you now, if we go out and find any compatibility, there's also possibilities of marriage." he said

"M-marriage?!"

"I don't want to waste my time with useless dates. I was actually thinking of going overseas. With a partner it'll make the aspiration stronger. From working with you I know, you are devastatingly horrible at procedures, but especially good at adapting." he said

"Now that you say that...That's all just for your own convenience, isn't it?" I asked

"Do you hate me?"

"Well, you're my boss so I've never take it into notice if I hate you or not." I said without looking at him. He walk closer to me.

"Then take it into notice."

I said all about our conversation to Erza-san and Cana-san. They are also working here but in different departments.

"Eh? Gray asked you out? What kind of face did he make?" Erza-san said

"You did it! Gray's quite the asset!" Cana-san said

"How is he? He's so horrible. He makes a fool out of others and his way with mean words. "I'm a Foire University Graduate. I'm smart!"" I said trying to imitate him

"But but but! Most fresh graduates would be tossed around in rural places, yet he went straight into the Main Branch! Which means he is an elite-course. He lives in a huge 3-room apartment, tall and good-looking. Nothing's wrong other than his personality." Cana and her observations again, she said and stood up. We look below in the railing on the second floor. Cana is analyzing every man that pass by again. She labeled them from A-E class. I don't mind her anyway.

"Gray is undeniably A+. Plus he's single. This is a huge win. Juvia, he's in the run for an overseas promotion, he might take you along." Cana-san said

"That's what spoils everything for you, right Cana?" Erza-san said "How about you, Juvia? What do you think?"

I put my hand behind my neck."Well, Juvia will turn him down."

"Turn him down?" Cana-san said in surprise. then suddenly make a huge smile and asked "Then can I have him?"

"What are you saying?" Erza-san said knocking her lightly in the head
