"Mommy, why do I have to wear this?" I snapped the small pink bracelet around the little girls wrist nodding in response to her question.

"Mommy does this so she never loses you." I explained to my four year-old daughter, Maggie, gently putting her pink sandals on.

"I won't lose you." She said her little hands cupping my face making me smile widely.

"I know, sweetie, I know." I smiled placing small kisses on her cheek and neck causing her to giggle.

"Daddy, help!" She squealed as I lifted her off of the ground tickling her with my fingers but still placing kisses on her neck.

"Uh-oh! Mommy is attacking! Super Daddy is here to save the day!" I looked over to the doorway where Shawn stood in just a pair of basketball shorts sweat beads running down his chest.

"No, daddy is here to take a shower." I said scrunching my nose up in disgust as Maggie giggled burying her small head of straight brown hair into my neck.

"Aw, but I wanna hug my two princesses." Shawn pouted making me laugh and then shrug.

"You can meet us outside after you clean up." I smiled walking past him and placing a tiny kiss on his cheek.

"I'll be out soon!" He called as I slipped my black flip-flops on walking out the front door and into the beating sun.

"Ah! Sun!" Maggie exclaimed covering her face as I set her down in the grass out front of her small home.

Shawn and I had gotten married about five years ago after I finished college and received my degree. I was a psychologist as well as a motivational speaker and I made it my duty to spread my story anywhere and everywhere, to tell people what they can do if ever in a crisis like me. I have had so many victims of kidnappings and even much worse crimes come up to me crying and begging me for help which I gladly give them, no cost. Of course I charge for regular therapy visits but for victims I will do it for free, but donations are accepted. Since I have moved on with my life I have also created a hotline for victims and they can call whenever and use code words to get help, codes like these can save a life. We both moved out to here, our current location of Lyndhurst, Ohio. It was a safe city and I had an aunt that lived out here, she said she loved it. It also helped to have an uncle as a police officer just to be on the safe side. My mom had moved with us and Veda had moved out to Los Angeles, with her sister who she had found a few months after everything with Gilinsky happened.

Kian had her all along.

Last that I heard, Veda had reconnected with Nate in LA and the two were set to have a wedding, this was two years ago so I'm assuming they already got married. I would love to have gone or go to the wedding but the fear of the boys being there scared me enough to move across the country. When I graduated I felt free and safe but now as I get older and try to shelter my daughter away from the evils of the world, I get scared. I never want her to go through what I had to and I will always be there to protect her from anything and everything.

"Mommy, look!" I looked over to so that she was balancing a large book on her head making me laugh.

"Where did you get that?" I asked sitting down on our front steps the warmth of the sun covering every part of my body, the exposed skin on my legs and shoulders would most likely become sunburnt if I stayed out here anymore.

"I hid it in the bushes!" She shrieked before the book fell to the grass making me laugh even harder.

"Maggie! Bring that back inside!" I laughed as she ran over to me the large book in her hands bouncing against her knees ever so slightly.
