"Think I want you more than want."

"How much longer until we are home?" I asked.

"Not that much longer." Lucas replied, "We should be home in a few hours."

I asked, "Did you ever think it would be Christmas Eve and we would be stuck in car together?"

"I'd take this Christmas over any Christmas I had with my parents."

My phone started ringing.

"Is it Farkle?" He asked, "Do you think Riley's in labor?"

"Well I won't know until I pick up the phone."

"Pick up the phone then. I need to know if Farkle jr. is on the way."

I thought it was cute, watching him get excited about the baby.

"Hello?"

"Hey Maya. Merry Christmas Eve."

"Hey Farkle. How is everything going?"

"I'm at the hospital with Riley."

"How far along is she?"

"She started having some contractions last night and now she is about three inches dilated."

"How much longer until she's ready to start pushing?"

"The doctor isn't sure. Her labor is moving along slowly so it will be a while."

"That's good. We are still a few hours away from home."

"Are you making good time?"

"Yeah. I suspect that we will be home in five hours. Well that's if nothing bad happens."

"I hope you guys get home soon. Riley misses you and so do the Matthews."

"They're here?"

"Yeah. They got here last night. I hope it's okay if they stay at your apartment. I figured Lucas could move into your room and they could stay in his room."

"That's fine."

Lucas yelled, "I wanna talk to Farkle!"

I put Farkle on speaker for Lucas.

"Hey dude it's your boy Lucas!" He yelled towards the phone.

"Your boy?" I questioned.

"Shush Maya I'm talking to my bro," He joked, "What's the status on Riley? Is Kian ready to pop out?"

"Pop out?" I questioned again, "Why are you talking like that to him?"

"Because this is his last few days where he is allowed to talk like a teenager. Soon he is going to be all grown up and I expect him to use big words around Kian."

"We are at the hospital, but she isn't going to have the baby for a while. Anyway I have to go help out Riley with her breathing. I'll see you whenever you get home."

I took the phone off of speaker.

"Tell Cory and Topanga that I miss them."

"Will do. I'll see you two when you get home. Bye."

"Bye."

I turned towards Lucas. He was focused on the road, driving as carefully as he could.

"How are they doing?" He asked.

"Riley's three centimetres dilated so they are waiting at the hospital. Oh and the Matthews made it here okay," I replied.

"Where are they staying?"

"I told Farkle it was okay if they stayed in your room. You can sleep in my room while they are here."

He smirked, "Just while they are here? Don't you like our sleepovers?"

"No. Frankly I'm disgusted by them. They are very disappointing. They are nothing like the ones I had when I was a kid. You never let me braid your hair or paint your nails."

"But I cuddle with you and give you kisses. Don't you like my kisses?" He wiggled his eyebrows.

"Tell me something are all boys overly sexual, because you sure give off that."

"Excuse me!" He scoffed, "I think you need to talk to Farkle about that. Last time I checked he's got the pregnant girlfriend."

"But Farkle is romantic."

"Are you saying I'm not romantic? I took you on a trip back to my home town just so that I could get you to fall in love with me again."

"We stayed in rundown motels and hotels."

"You didn't seem to mind that while we were-"

"You're doing it again."

"Just like us."

"Oh my god. Pull this car over right now. I'm walking back to our apartments."

He laughed and kept on driving home. I knew he wasn't going to let us go.
