What Do You Think?

Who am I? Who are you? Are we that different?
Are you the same colour as me?
Do you speak the same language?
D o you have the same religion?
Do you eat the same type of food?
Do you have the same interests?

If the answer to all these questions is yes, should I love you?
If the answer to all these questions is no, should I hate you?
If the answers are mixed, should I be confused?

Should I ask someone what my reaction should be,
And behave accordingly?
What do I think myself?

(pause and reflect....)

The important thing is that we all live in peace,
But if I hate you for being different,
You would hate me for being different too
Which would create conflict, not peace

Also we have more in common than our differences
We all want peace, a good life, success,
To express love and be loved

So let's celebrate and achieve our common goals
And not hate each other for differences
And not accept hate passed down from generation
To the next generation, which only fuels more hate

Let's think for ourselves, and not look to the media,
Politicians or extremists of any kind
To tell us how to think and feel.
