Lucas' POV
"Maya......wake up......"

Maya was curled up in a blanket.

"Hmm."

"I have to tell you something."

Maya sat up, with her hair tangled and eyes half open.

I got down on one knee. Maya's eyes are wide open now.

"Maya Penelope Hart..." I started to say

I pulled a tiny box out of my pocket. I opened the box...inside was a beautiful diamond ring.

"Will you marry me?"

Maya to had adjust her eyes to the shining diamond, it wasn't small and it was it big, it was just right.

"Lucas...I-it's beautiful, of course I will marry you!"

I put the ring on Maya and kissed her.

"I was not expecting this..."
Maya punched me.

"Why didn't you propose to me when I as least had my hair brushed!"

"I was too excited."

"I gotta tell Riley!"

Maya: "Guess who just got proposed to?"
Riley: "Taylor Swift!!!"
Maya: "boo no she's like 32. Me!"

Riley: oh peaches! I'm so happy for you!!! I'm on my way!

Maya was sitting on the bed admiring the ring.

"-So I take it you like the ring?"

"Liking it is an understatement. Love it? I ADORE it! But I guess I love you more."

Lucas chuckles, "good to know."

"Riley is gonna come over for a bit"

"Ok, do you want coffee?"

"I'm good, I'm pretty awake now."

"where is it?!"

I put my hand out displaying the beautiful ring.

"Wow....its gorgeous!! I CAN NOT wait for the wedding!"

Lucas came in the room.

"Hey, so...when's the wedding? Will it be before Lucas goes to Afghanistan?"

"We haven't made any plans yet, but we will talk about it."

"I can already imagine my little peaches going down the aisle! Oh! When are getting the dress?"

"Um Riley, he just proposed about 15 minutes ago, I don't even know what I'm gonna have for breakfast!"

"Ok ok, I'll stop...I'm just so excited!!"

"I'm just lucky she said yes."
