Chapter 22

I stared in awe.It was a medium sized white house with a variety of colorful flowers growing out front.I jumped when I felt a hand slide into mine.I looked over and saw Jason smiling at the house.

"It's o..ours?"he whispered.

"We all pitched in and got you two this house!I know it's not much,but it's home."Diane said with a smile.

I just stood there in shock.I couldn't believe they'd actually bought us a house.I looked around at every face in the small circle and smiled.

"Thank you so much."I could feel my lip start to tremble as I talked."I honestly couldn't ask for a better family."

I wiped the tears from my eyes and looked at the ground to gather my feelings.So many good things had happened today that I couldn't help but cry.Jason pulled me to his chest and kissed the top of my head.

"You deserve this Sam.You and Jason both deserve this.The only thing that the two of you do is bring joy to the world.Sam,you brought joy back into my son's life.I've never seen him happier than when he's with you.You were there for him.You accepted him and all of his imperfections....and if that doesn't deserve something,I don't know what does."Diane said quietly.

I couldn't bring myself to pull away from Jason's embrace as I only managed to whisper a small thank you.

Jason and I sat on a mattress that was placed in the middle of the master bedroom.Since we had so little furniture to move into the house,we still had a couple of hours before the sun would set.Tomorrow Jason's mom was supposed to take us shopping for more furniture,so that we could move in as soon as possible.

Before everyone left Carly had brought Denver over along with a bag of cat litter.I didn't have anything to put it in so I had to improvise.I'd taken one of the drawers out of an old dresser and filled it with litter.

I leaned into Jason and kissed his cheek."I'm going to go and soak in the tub."

He frowned at me and groaned."B..but it's go..going to be lonely o..out here w..without you and I..I don't think..think Denver li..likes me."

We both looked over at Denver.She was lying in the corner bathing herself.When she saw us watching she stopped and stared at us.

I started to laugh."Jason she won't bother you."

He raised his eyebrows at me and raised his sleeve to reveal two long scratches."I..I just tried t..to pet her."

"Well you can come into the bathroom with me."I said shrugging my shoulders.

"B..but you'll be n..naked."he whispered.

I smiled to myself."Jason you've seen me naked before.I mean..."I pointed at my stomach in an exaggerated motion.

"Oh y..yeah."he giggled.

I ran my bath water and poured plenty of soap for bubbles.

"Are you hungry?"I asked as I grabbed some clothes.

"There's n..no food in th..the fridge."Jason sighed.

"I know.I was going to order some pizza."I said grabbing my phone.

He smiled."C..can we get su..supreme?"

"Yeah,I love supreme."I said.

After I'd ordered the pizza Jason and I went to the bathroom.I couldn't help but smile at Jason as I took off my clothes.He had turned the opposite way and wouldn't look my way.

I slowly slipped into the water and sighed."You can turn around Jason."

He hesitantly turned around.When he saw that I was in the water he relaxed and sat on the toilet.He kept stealing glances,but couldn't hold my stare.

I started at the cloud of white bubbles and sighed."Jason..."He looked over at me with a questioning look."Why did you pick me?"

"Pick y..you?"he repeated.

"Yeah,What was so special about me that you liked so much?"I asked playing in the bubbles.

He watched me for a second."You w..were really nice a..and you were really..really cute."He smiled to himself."Y..you were di..different......Wh..what was s...so special about m..me?"

I smiled."You we're really sweet,you were funny,you were smart,and my God Jason you were hot as hell!"

"W..were?"he asked with a smirk.

"I'm sorry.You still are hot as hell."I said.

We both laughed,but stopped when there was a loud knock at the front door.Jason looked at me in confusion.

"Its probably the pizza guy."I said.

Jason frowned."C..can you get it?"

"No strangers.I forgot."I sighed as I slowly stood up.

I was really surprised when Jason didn't look away,but instead watched me."D..do you need h..help?"

"Sure."I said as he reached for me.

Jason helped me climb out of the tub and handed me my towel.Not wanting to keep the pizza man waiting,I wrapped the towel around me and headed for the door.I swung open the door and was glad to see he hadn't left.

His eyes widened at my appearance."I'm sorry about the towel."

"It's fine."he said with a awkward smile.

He passed me the pizza and I gave him the money.

"Have a nice day."he said turning to leave.

"You too."I called.

I sat the pizza down next to Jason in our bedroom and went to get dressed.When I came back Jason was already eating the pizza.I sat down beside him and pulled up Netflix on my phone.

"You up for some walking dead?"I asked.

"Y..you bet!"he said as he grabbed another slice of pizza.

I grabbed my own and we both sat back and watched the show.

"I'd kick zombie ass in an apocalypse."I said.

"M..me too!It'd b..be a slaughter..slaughterhouse!"Jason said with a smirk.

"We'd be the Bonnie and Clyde of the zombie apocalypse!"I cheered.

Jason looked at me with a huge grin."O..our baby is go..going to be cra..crazy."

"Gonna get it from your side of the family."I mumbled.

"I h..heard that."he said.

I leaned on him."Fine.It might come from m..."

I stopped talking when there was a loud knock on the door.I stood and walked to the living room with Jason right behind me.No one should be here because it was kind of late.

Hesitantly I opened the door,while mentally reminding myself that we need a peep hole.When I saw who it was I tried to slam the door,but he caught it.

"Sam,wait."Aaron whispered.

"Leave me alone!"I snapped trying to push him out of the way.

"Sam,please.Its really important."he pleaded.

I finally got him out of the way and slammed the door."Aaron get off of our property or I'm calling the police!"

"Sam!"he called through the door.

"Leave!"I yelled.

"Sam.....I'm dying!"Aaron cried.

In the last chapter someone commented about what the baby should be and I just wanted to say that if you do have an idea for anything about the baby gender,name,ect. That you should comment here because anything about the baby will come from your ideas and if there are no ideas I'll just choose...Thanks if you do leave ideas
