"Molly why are you doing this?"

"Oh and Hunter be more careful with your cougar."

"Molly what did I ever do to you?"

"Rose." Her voice harsh "You stole Hunter from me."

I looked at Hunter as if to ask him for help.

"Molly stop it was me... I liked her and you knew that and then I kissed her and fell in love. She has more to give than you ever could give me."

"Hunter what a bold speech... Lets see who wins this game Cruz."

My eyes widened when Cole walked up to her and kissed her. She smiled through the kiss. I turned to Hunter and kissed him.

At lunch Cole was with Molly leaving me to sit alone. I looked only down never up because I knew Molly would see this as a challenge. Cole texted me all day and night but I didn't know what to say to him. His kiss faded to the back of my mind and Hunter was my only friend/boyfriend. Cole called me at 9:55. I answered it and tears burned into my eyes again.

"Cole?"

"Rosy... I'm so sorry."

"Don't be.. I mean everything's good now" I forced a laugh "You have Molly and I have Hunter right?"

"I guess." His voice cracked

"Look I know you were mad and all but you went  to far Cole. I don't remember you anymore." Tears fell over and over and over. "You were just a blur." I hung up and he tried to call again and again.

I woke up and put on my V neck with a hot pink cami under it. Then my favorite skinny jeans. I brushed my teeth like any other day. This one was different though. It was my birthday of all days. I looked into the mirror... I'm 17!!! I grabbed my phone and saw Coles number

ME: ha-ha you remembered

CT: Yes I did because I love you

ME: and?

CT: I'm sorry

ME: and?

CT: can you help me?

ME: no but umm nvm

CT: you ok?

ME: sure... yes... y?

CT: look I'm sorry about everything oh come outside before u know who

ME: y?

CT: just do it

ME: one second

I smiled and ran out the door. Cole stood there with his blue eyes. This guy was the world wrapped in one.

"Rosy?"

"What?"

"I'm sorry" his eyes soften 

"Its fine... I guess." I looked down

He touched my chin and lifted my head. His eye full of pain but yet so sorry. His lips only inches away and yet the world faded again.  He grew closer. Closing the space between our lips. I felt butterfly's in my stomach. I waited for him to kiss me but instead he backed away. My throat burned for him but yet I couldn't have him. I wanted to run away from him for that but yet I couldn't move. I stood in shock. I looked at him and started to walk away.

"Rose... Meet me after school at our spot?" He yelled

"Sure"

I walked to Hunters house and knocked on the door.

"Oh who are you?" His mother answered

"Oh ummm.... hi I'm his girlfriend."

He appeared behind her. He smiled big.

"Ma?"

"Who is she?"

"She's Rose... My girlfriend." His eyes on me the whole time. My cheeks burned.

"Oh... Hello Rose." Her eyes soften

"Hi Mrs. Loving."

"Bye Ma."

He walked out the door and hugged me after the door closed. I felt happy for today. He held me tight as if he knew she was going to talk about me in someway. I felt her glare but I never met it. When she left Hunter let go of me. His eyes looked sorry for me. He kissed lightly on the lips before saying goodbye. Our hands slipped away and I was unprotected. Molly could take me any minute but she didn't. No one looked at me when I walked past. 1st period went fast and then I had a class with Hunter for the rest of the day. In second I told him it was my birthday and he pulled out a necklace saying that it was a good time to give it to me. Then in third he told me he loved me for real and we past notes. Same thing in forth and fifth. In my last class that Molly was in with us, all I heard was whispering. Hunter shoot dirty glares back there warning them to back off, but they never did.

I walked to mine and Cole's spot. He was waiting for me. His eyes a different way. That was good because they gave me butterfly's. Yet they seemed to flutter again and again.

"Hunter?"

He grabbed my legs knocking me off balance making me fall on him. He rolled me over and looked down at me. His eye seemed to say we-are-just-friends-but-I'm-truly-in-love-with-you. His lips brushed mine. It hurt to be there with him. My heart still so broken from him yet he could fix it. What could he fix. Then I couldn't think let alone see. His lips were on mine and the world faded. I felt tears burn into my eyes. I reached around his neck and pulled him down closer. His body framing mine to the ground. I didn't want this to end but it had to. He rolled off me and his smile was so big.

"Rosy... You don't know how much that killed me this morning."

"I have an idea."

"Sure you always do."

"Cole?"

"What?"

"Do you know how much it hurts to see you and Molly kissing?"

"No... Do you know how much it hurts to see Hunter kiss you?"

"As much as it kills me to see you and Molly?"

"Maybe even more."

"You broke my heart when..... You know the first kiss."

"When everything was so messed up?"

"Yes.. then"

"Oh"

"I love you"

He looked shocked. His eyes looked hurt. His hand circled his head and his hand grabbed his hair. 3 word could brake us. US... Him and I are now a us.
