Who Said it Would be Easy?

Part 26

Lucas's POV:
Lucas help!
Then the mind link was cut off.

I stormed into the makeshift doctors room to find her bed empty.

Conner what's happening? Wheres Lillian?

There was a moment before he answered.
She's a wolf was all I got before he cut the link off.

I stormed off into the pack yard to see pack members cowering away from a gray and brown wolf.

Crap.

I saw Conner trying to calm Lillian down but she growled and showed her teeth.

"Lillian!" I called.

Her head snapped to me and her gaze softened but she was all tense.

"Alisha give Lillian back her control," I said.

She's to weak to want revenge

"This isn't you Alisha, it's the wolfsbane."

Well maybe it's time we toughen up

I shook my head, "the real Alisha would never treat Lillian like this."

Alisha huffed at me and turned her gaze back to the cowering crowd.

Who did it! She bellowed through the mind link.

When no one answered she growled.

"We did," a masculine voice said.

I whipped around growling my teeth turned to fangs and my nails to claws.

Alisha whipped around to.

"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't rip your throat right now," I growled.

"Because", Chris said, "Then Julia will kill Jenna."

Julia came walking around the corner with a struggling Jenna with a knife to her throat.

Conner froze and let out a deep growl.

I heard multiple pops and clicks as multiple pack members shifted.

"I wouldn't do that," Chris said.

Everybody turned as multiple snarling wolves entered the area.

I heard a whimper and turned as Chris injected Alisha/Lillian with what looked like silver.

I howled and almost launched myself at Chris when Lillian crumpled to the ground. Conner held me back.

"They'll kill Jenna," he said with pain in his eyes.

I shook him off growling.

I heard a bark and then the strange wolves attacked.

Everything became a blur.

Pack members shifted. They jumped everywhere. There were snarls and flashes of teeth and claws.

My bones and joints cracked as I shifted.

A growling wolf stalked up to me, blocking my way to Lillian.  I growled and launched myself at the wolf. In a second I had it on the ground and whimpering. It showed its neck in defeat and ran away when I released it.

I looked around the fighting wolves for Lillian and Jenna. I saw Chris wrapping a naked Lillian in a blanket and carelessly taking her away with Jenna who had a gag in her mouth.
I tried jumping towards them but I was blocked by another wolf. I howled in rage.
And knocked the wolf out.

We are better than them. Give them your all.

I said through the mind link. I heard howls in encouragement. In fifteen minutes my pack had defeated the other wolves.

I was only thinking one thing though. I need to find my mate.

I think I've wrote that before.... Whatever.
