an unseen tragedy

One
Two
Three

The clock tick s
Infinite seconds span on
Her eyes flit
Back and forth
From one glass face
To another plastic one.

She chokes
Unfamiliar; unseen
Invisible to a world
Of blended rules
And broken lines.

What does she live by
Values or excuses?
The clock keeps ticking
Her heart; a beating time-bomb.

Dump
Thump
Badump.

It races
But she does not run
Bound to this Earth
To the poisoned soil of a billion souls.

Until one day
The ticking stop-s
And her heart
No longer but another drop
In the bottomless,
Black ocean
Of humanity's despair.
