Pulling out my earphones, I chose a song on my phone and turned up the volume as I walked home. Loud music was the best music, after all.

With my favorite song by Twenty One Pilots blasting in my ears, I took the long way home just to keep dancing. I turned at a corner and closed my eyes to sing the chorus of the sing.

"Wish we could turn back time! To the good old days! When our mamas sang us to sleep but now, we're stressed out!" I belted out the lyrics and danced around by myself.

Or so I thought.

I looked up at the sound of something different from the song and my eyes widened.

There were two people who looked extremely familiar and they had a firm grip on a man. Not just any man: a dead man. I noticed a deep hole in his chest, causing bile to rise in my throat.

However, that wasn't what made me gawk at the scene like an idiot.

It was the brown haired, green eyed boy standing directly across from me. The one who gave me sweet dreams, who made my heart pound, and who made me happy without even knowing it.

It was River Ashmore, my everlasting crush, with a bloody sword in his hands.

I groaned. "Today is just not my day. "
