I sprinted into the bathroom and froze when I saw Chai, his eyes where fully blood red and his finger nails looked like claws
"O-Oh my fucking god..." I heard Shelby say behind me causing Chai to snap his head towards us and bare his teeth
"Don't move..." I said quietly, before I could blink Chai's tail disappeared and he stood up stepping out of the bath before looking back at us again. The room filled with a loud high pitched screeching sound, I covered my ears as the sound felt like it was piercing through my skull
"Bry look out!" I heard Shelby say, but it was too late. I looked up and Chai ran past me knocking me to the ground causing everything to fade out and go black
"...nt"
"Br...t!"
"Bryant!"
My eyes snapped open and I was immediately hit with a wave of nausea, I groaned closing my eyes again and putting my hand on my head trying to settle my stomach
"Oh thank god I thought I lost you!" I heard Shelby say above me, I opened my eyes again and saw her looking down at me
"Wh... What happened?" I asked, I saw she had a large cut on her head and a bruise forming on her cheek
"Your head?" I asked
"Don't worry it's fine, I'm more worried about you do you feel okay?" She asked, I noticed that her eyes where a bit blood shot meaning she had been crying
"Yeah I guess... what happened?" I asked again
"Chai ran at us and we both fell down, you hit your head and passed out" She replied making my eyes widen
"Oh my god, where is he?!" I shouted trying to stand up, the moment I got up I fell down again but Shelby caught me before I hit the floor
"Whoa, whoa take it easy you just woke up" She protested
"I have to find him! He... he could be hurt!" I replied shaking away the dizziness running over to my shoes
"More like he could be the one hurting people" Shelby corrected me making me sigh, she wasn't wrong and I hated thinking about it. I got my torch and headed out the door into the heavy rain
"Where do you think he could have gone?" Shelby asked pulling out her torch and putting her hoodie over her head
"I don't know, most likely towards the town" I replied with a frown and began to start walking
"Bryant, he'll be okay I promise" Shelby said putting a hand on my shoulder
"Yeah... I hope so" I replied with a frown
~Hours later~
The sun was beginning to come up and we still couldn't find him anywhere
"Bry it's almost 6 in the morning... we've been looking for 7 hours" Shelby yawned rubbing her eyes
"I'm not stopping until I find him" I replied stubbornly, I continued walking through the forest with twigs snapping under my feet. We had looked everywhere for him and the forest was our last chance in finding him
"Maybe you're right Shelb..." I sighed coming to a stop, I heard her come up beside me and put a hand on my shoulder
"I'm sorry Bry" Shelby replied softly
"No it's ok, he most likely went back to-
"Wait... look!" Shelby interrupted me pointing up in front of us, lying on the ground scratched, bloody and bruised was Chai
"Oh my g-god" I stuttered out dropping my torch running over to him, dropping to my knees beside him I saw he was out cold
"Chai? Chai can you hear me?!" I panicked holding his face, no response
"We have to get him back home" I said turning to Shelby. I picked him up and instantly his blood began to soak my shirt
"Does he have a pulse?" I asked Shelby, she grabbed his wrist and went silent for a minute
"Yes but we have to hurry, it's weak and dropping quickly" She replied with a frown
"Hang in there Chai"
Ugh this chapter SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS
I swear to god for this whole first month of the year I have had the BIGGEST writers block, I can't write ANYTHING and I'm going back to school in two days DX
