"Pick something! Anything!" I shout, standing by my closet door looking as Claire is throwing the clothes she thinks isn't 'party worthy' onto the carpet.

"You really do need help. Fortunately for you, I brought you clothes. I knew this would happen." Claire brings out a duffel bag from the corner of my room. Yes! Claire's clothes are the legit best.

Picking between two of her choices, I ended up with a cute lacey top, sheer but not so much for my black tank top underneath. A pair of white daisy shorts with a diamond embroidered on the left back pocket. Luckily, Claire was nice enough to let me wear my worn out, covered with mud and grime, white converse.

Oh course it's white, it's practically inviting stains.

"You look precious!" Claire stood back to take a gander at her work. Her eyes wandered up and down my body, before she handed me my bag.

I had on some light foundation, filled my eyebrows in, got some of that perfect winged eyeliner going on, and some of my mint Chapstick under my matte nude lip.

It's matte, you know my lips are going to be cracked in the morning.

"I know I do." I say looking in the mirror, throwing on a leather jacket to match the vibe that I was feeling.

"Hey sis-," My oh-so brilliant sister came into the room with her boyfriend. "Holy shit! Are you wearing fucking makeup?" Miranda came over to me, looking closely at how Claire did her magic. She was definitely more than impressed with Claire's work, even I was impressed.

"Hey bitch." I waved to her boyfriend, Daniel who was eyeing Claire.

"Hi, my girlfriend's sister." Daniel waved back without a care in the world. Me and Daniel had this weird connection, where we're friendly when we want to be, but we are not friendly for the most part. I'd never admit this, but he's like a brother to me.

"Yes I am," I turn to Miranda who is frantically screaming with excitement.

"Holy mother of hoes, Claire you are officially my favorite." Miranda gave Claire a high five while I was standing awkwardly facing the window.

7:38 pm

"You better not bring a guy home!" Miranda shouted at me as we exited the house to Claire's car.

"I wouldn't dream on it!" I waved at Miranda looking at Claire's beaten down truck. It was a red pickup truck with some mud around the tires and the paint job. Claire's family occasionally went on mud runs, color runs, which I so desperately want to do.

"Do you ever wash this?" I climb inside the passengers side while Claire is starting up the engine. "I would, but I've got things to do." Claire says blankly. She doesn't really give a shit about her truck, as long as it's a car, she's happy.

"Well, Claire drive on." I say looking at myself in the mirror.

Claire stomps her heels onto the gas pedals making us go 2x faster than we're supposed to go.

"We are late! The party starts at 8! It's 8:13!" Claire exclaims as she stops the car by the huge parking space.

"We are fashionably late." I chuckle out, climbing out her pick up truck. I glanced around at the lawn, as there was teenagers both drinking and sinning on the front yard. Disgusting.

"Ew, what the fuck is that?" I heard the familiar voice ring out from the loud music. Soon enough, I notice that Sunni was right in front of us as she points at Claire's muddy truck.
