i like you (jimin)

you and jimin were the best of friends in school. although you guys were awkward with each other when you first became table mates by chance, the wall between you two was slowly broken down until you became very close with him, so much so that the two of you would hang out together everyday whether it was during break time or after school. then the time came when you had to pick a cca (co-curricular activity) club to join. it was then that you realised that you had the same passion as jimin — photography. you only knew that he had joined the same club as you when the name list for who entered what cca club was put up in class. joining the same club was an extra bonus for the two of you to spend even more time together.

"jimin-ah, ppali kaja (let's go quickly)!" you hurried him excitedly.

"alright, alright, just give me a few seconds to pack up my stuff. aish, why are you always so excited for cca?" jimin grumbled cutely while ruffling your hair.

seeing that he had finished packing, you immediately hooked arms with him as you hopped all the way to the cca room. you opened the door and the both of you greeted the other seniors who were already there before finding a seat next to each other. for the next 10 minutes, you and jimin chatted about many random stuff while students continued streaming in. then, the teacher-in-charge arrived. everyone rose and greeted her.

"annyeonghaseyo, seonsaengnim."

"ne, annyeonghaseyo. you may sit."

after waiting for everyone to settle down, the teacher continued, "i will not beat around the bush and get straight to the point. you have an assessment coming up soon and i would like to give all of you a chance to practise this afternoon. you should take photos related to the theme "my daily school life" and you yourself must be in the photos. therefore, i will pair all of you up and you shall help each other. understood?"

everyone nodded their heads and prayed silently, hoping to get a good partner. you and jimin, of course, prayed to get each other as partners.

"... jimin and (y/n)..."

you and jimin looked at each other at the same time, eyes glistening full of delight. your fingers interlocked with his as you shook his hand aggressively, expressing your happiness of being paired up with him.

"any further questions?"

"aniyo, seonsaengnim." everyone chanted in unison.

"alright then, you may all proceed. remember to return back here by 4.30pm!"

with that, everyone exited the room, some gloomy because they didn't get partners they wanted, while others were happy because they were satisfied.

"where should we go first?" you asked jimin.

"hmm... since the theme is "my daily school life", should we start from the school gate? then we can take pictures from there, showing the path we take everyday including the classroom, canteen and library."

"oh~ yeokshi (as expected) jiminnie~" you punched his shoulder playfully.

after arriving at the gate, jimin said, "i'll take pictures of you first, then you help me okay?"

you nodded your head and went on to discuss with jimin what kind of image and message you wanted to show and present in your pictures. after you were done and checked that your photos were satisfactory, you took pictures of jimin. ah, he's so photogenic and looks good even in pictures... after that, the both of you went to many different places such as the school garden, classroom and canteen. the last location was the library as it was where the both of you would do homework together everyday. being careful not to disturb the other students, the two of you made your way to a corner of the library.

"for this time... how about we show how you like to read the books in here?" jimin suggested.

you agreed and proceeded to pick out your favourite book from the shelf. you sat down on the chair and opened up the book to the random page, pretending to enjoy the story written.

you were waiting to hear the click of the camera so that you could know jimin was done when suddenly, he said, "hold on a moment..."

you looked up from the book and wanted to ask him what he meant when his face immediately enlarged in front of you. he tucked a few loose strands of hair behind your hair and your cheeks flushed red in embarrassment. after he withdrew, you immediately looked down again, wanting to hide your shy expression. after your photo was taken and his was done too, the both of you went back to the cca room to submit the photos you took so that the teacher could give you comments that would hopefully help in the upcoming assessment too. after what seemed like forever, the teacher was finally done with commenting on everyone's photos.

"alright, that will be all for today. good luck for the assessment! you're dismissed."

after the teacher left, jimin told you that he had some things to settle with his camera and asked you to wait for him outside since you took the same bus home together and alighted at the same stop. after a few minutes, he emerged from the room with a suspiciously smiley face. you shrugged it off and waited for the bus at the bus stop. after the 20 minutes bus ride, you finally reached.

you were about to wave goodbye to jimin when he said, "oh! before i forget, there's a song i wanted you to listen to. hold on..."

his voice drifted off as he dug his phone out. out of curiosity, you decided to look at what his lock screen was and you realised that it was the picture of you taken today at the library. so that's what he was doing back in the room!

"yah, why do you have my picture set as your lock screen?"

"huh? oh.. you really wanna know?"

"yeah... why not...?"

"because i like you, (y/n)."

"w... w... what?"

you were flustered at his unexpected reply and sudden confession. this guy seriously...

"want me to repeat that again, eh?" jimin wiggled his eyebrows and smirked before continuing, "i like you, (y/n)."

he gave you a short, sweet peck on the lips while you weren't paying attention. before you could even react, he started running off.

"yah park jimin! get back here!"

you chased after him immediately, trying to hold back your giggles. although you were annoyed at him on the surface, but deep inside, your heart fluttered crazily, knowing that this would mark the beginning of a whole new journey with jimin.
