Strings Attached (ON HOLD)

The first Step

As she was heading towards the cabin ; she saw on of the security officer coming out of the cabin. She felt relaxed as now the cabin was empty. But before she could move ahead , she saw a man wearing a hoddie jacket entered the cabin.

She assumed him to be Danish. She walked towards the cabin and very slowly and quietly entered the cabin. He was sitting on the chair pressing the keys of the keyboard. She slowly patted on his shoulder and he with a scream turned around.

"Aahh..!!" Scared from his scream and with the fear of getting caught ; in the hustle she kept her palm on his mouth to stop him from shouting.

"Stop shouting ..! We both will get trapped...!" She said in a whisper in a fearful tone seeing out of the cabin if someone has heard it or not. With a relief she turned her face in front and was shocked.

"Manikkk..???" The person whom she saw entering was Manik.

"Hain..?? Manik..?? You..?? Are you crazy..? Why did you shout.? You scared me...!! And what you doing here..?" Nandini was constantly blabbering in whispers.

She was looking at him in all confused state. He with eyes gestured towards her hands.

"Ooohh..!!" She realised that his mouth was shut and she quickly removed her hand.

"Haaahhh..!!" Manik exhaled his breath.

"Why did you shout ..? You scared me..!" Nandini again said in whispers.

"Huhh..? What..? I scared you..? You scared me..! Aise koi tap karta hai peeche se..?" He replied in an irritated tone.

"Itne bade ho Gaye ho and still you are scared of a tap..? Like seriously..?" She asked making faces.

"Ohh.. Hello madam..! Where i am right now na that too at this hour ; it's enough for me to get the hell out of me Aur Iska bade hone se koi lena dena nahi hai you get that." He replied keeping everything in whispers.

Her mouth was rounded in an "O" shape realising the fact which he said.

"That reminds me what you doing here that too at this hour..?" She asked again.

"Same goes for you ma'am..!" He replied raising his left eyebrow.

She with an open mouth looked here and there and at times at him which made him chuckle.

"And before that..! Will you please get up..??" He asked her with his eyes gesturing their position.

At that very moment she realised that all this while she was leaning on him with her leg on his knee. and their faces were only inches apart. In the panic mode to shut his mouth ; she leaned on him and didn't realised it till he asked.

Their position was enough to make her go all red. She got up from him and was hell embarrassed , which didn't get unnoticed by Manik. He too blushed at instant and pressed his lips to hide his smile.

To avoid any more embarrassment he again asked ; "so tell me ; what are you doing here.?" That was it to divert her mind and she was back into her planning mode.

"Before that you tell me , tum yahan Kya kare rahe ho..?" She asked him back.

This made Manik straighten his face and replied ; " you want to argue at this hour that to here..? Seriously..??" .

Nandini thought of his words and replied ; "Wo actually I came here to fix this.." She replied showing him the device.

"What's this..?" He asked looking at that little device and then looked at her , all confused.

She started with her work leaving all confused Manik behind. He asked her about her acts to which she just maintained her silence.

"Done..!!" She uttered in excitement clapping her hands.

"Will you tell something that what are you upto..? Manik again asked. But before she could say anything , they heard the voice of the security officer talking on phone with someone and heading towards the cabin.

"Shittt..!!" Both murmured togather and looked at each other. The voice was coming near and they started panicking.

Nandini quickly grabbed his hand and pushed him behind the door and herself sticked to him.

He stood there with the support of the wall and she stood in front of him facing him. Her hands were on his chest and he made a firm grip of his hand around her back ; securing her.

The security guard was entering into the cabin. Both were scared which was clear from there faces. They looked at each other and Manik raised his finger indicating to be quiet.

Nandini was hell sacred and her heart started racing. As the guard opened the door ; Nandini pressed herself more towards him and her eyes were shut tightly.

But thanks to their luck and stars ; the guard did not entered the cabin and again went out. Nandini slowly opened her eyes and found him leaving again. Both took a deep sigh of relief.

Manik looked at her and realised their closeness. He was staring her with a mild smile on his face while she was looking out for the guard.

"Manik hum.." She was about to say something when she saw him staring. Their proximity was enough for them to send shivers in whole of their bodies.

Manik's hand which was securing her from back ; made a more tighter grip on her while the other hand slowly made its way to her waist.

They both were lost in the other forgetting the place and risk of staying over there for more. Just as he was about to make the grip on her waist tighter ; her phone started vibrating bringing them out of their trance.

She looked away from his eyes and realised how close actually they were. She removed her hands from his chest and he freed her from his grip.

Both were out of words when Nandini said breaking the silence ; "we should leave before he comes again." And started covering her face.

He too nodded and covered his face with the hoodie of the jacket. Slowly they came out and without waiting she ran towards the car. He stood their seeing her and then getting into the car. He was all clueless about her actions and was just looking towards the car when again he heard the guard coming and ran out of the sight.
