I Almost Lost My Life Today

I almost lost my life today

I saw our dreams drifting away

Everything seemed in disarray

The pain was real, I had no words to say:

How much I need you here

Losing you might be my greatest fear

All I was thinking, was please stay right here

Don't let me shed another tear

I saw my life come crumbling down

I had no idea if I had to smile or frown

You are my king, you need a crown

I was suffocating, thought I was going to drown

But I didn't lose my life after all

We stood up after the greatest fall

So let me tell ya'll

Don't duck away, just catch the ball

It was worth the fight

I knew I wouldn't have lived through the night

If you left, you'd have taken my light

But more than ever our love shines bright

I almost lost my life today

But I didn't, and I'm okay

I need you darling, please just stay

I love you baby, in every way
