2 months later: April

I can't believe I was sitting in the nut house waiting until visiting hours to see my mom. It's been almost six years since I last spoke to her, hell even saw her. After my dads death she completely checked out and left me to fend for myself. I was only fifteenth, and needed a mothers guidance and love to show me how to become a women. But she was selfish and only thought about her pain and not mine. I was lucky to have Miles mama to show me that.

After I told her what Chances mom spit at me, she told me to go talk to my mom to get closure an find out what truly happened. That women's words have been buzzing around in my head for the past three months. My mother had nothing to do with dads murdered what was she talking bout.

Mama taped my hand and gave me a reassuring smile, my heart beat slowed and I took a deep breath. I was so happy she felt well enough today to a company me. A women in a white nurse uniform a porched with a brown clip board and flipped through the pages.

"Miss Jacei Ramirez Jane Ramirez is ready to see you now" I hugged mama before I got out of my chair and followed the nurse down the white halls, up a flite of stairs to two large metal doors with two small widows. I jumped, hearing a blood curdling scream come from one of the rooms. Looking around I felt this was going to be my first and last trip. One women was rocking back and forth in a fetal position on the floor, one man was yelling at the wall, and I saw to big men in uniforms run down the hall to a room that was flooded.

We finally got to room 208 she pushed open the door and I stepped in side. My mother was sitting at the window , her hair was much grayer then I remember, an it was in its natural state in a curly fro. She looked like she kept fit as well, I walked over slowly and placed my hand on her shoulder. She slowly turned around and just smiled.

She wiped my cheek and gave me a sympathetic look. I hadn't even realized I was crying.

"What the matter baby did some body hurt chu'?" I shook my head no and hugged her. She slowly hugged me back "Do I know you suga?"

I knew she was bad but not this bad, she cant even remember her own daughter. We looked pretty similar, but she still couldn't tell. She walked past me and sat in front of the mirror and twisted her hair. I followed suite and pulled up a chair.

"I-I'm your daughter" I stuttered out feeling foolish for even coming. She looked at me through the mirror an studded my face. "My daughter in fifteen suga,." she stated simply and continued to do her hair.

I took a deep breath deciding to go along with it. "I mean..I'm a friend of your daughter's she's still in school and she asked me to come and check on you."

"Oh my Jacei how is she? She never comes around much. What did she want?" she said still making medium size twists in her hair. I'm happy she still remembers my name.

"She's busy with school. But she wanted to know how her father died." I hit a never, because she stopped what she was doing and just looked in the mirror.

"I think you should go" "But what abou..." "GET OUT!!" she yelled. With that I hurried and left the nurse walked me back to the waiting area, hugged mama, licked our arms and went to the car.

Once we got in I told her what happened and she sighed. "Do you want to know what happened?" she asked and I was slightly confused.

"You know? You've known this whole time?" "Your parent's always wanted what's best for you" she started "even though the had success they wanted more. Specially you're mother. You're father would work late hour's to get the money he wanted while your mom started gambling. It got to the point she own millions and couldn't pay it off. You're father tried his hardest to fix her mistake but couldn't. The man she owned money too got sick of waiting and was going to come after her."
