(Attached to this chapter is a song [Too Close, by Alex Clare]. I feel that this song [in ways] represents Alice pretty well. So, if you haven't heard it, give it a listen.)

In ninth grade, my English teacher started to really teach poetry. Before, no one ever really taught it. I was excited, knowing that poetry is something most everyone loves. I could never understand it, but I hoped if I was taught to understand it, I could.

My English teacher failed at teaching me. Even now, there's only one poem that has ever really hit me, one poem that I ever really wanted to learn:

To This Day, by Shane Koyczon.

But, I've memorized it now, and I could go off sometime and take fifteen minutes out of your life to read it, but I won't.

For now, Michael Dom will do.
