Riley's Pov.

Something was up with Camryn.

Her mom invited my family over for dinner and I could tell she wasn't happy about it.

The entire night, Camryn just sat with an attitude, not speaking unless her mom said something to her.

She wouldn't even look me in the eye, which had me feeling some type of way. One minute we was good, the next she was on shit again.

"Camryn, can you help me get desert?" Her mom asked standing.

Cam looked up from her phone and rolled her eyes. "Fine." She said standing.

"Someone has an attitude." I heard my mother whisper to my dad.

He nodded in agreement as he ate his lasagna.

I looked back at Camryn as she walked into the room, holding a pie. She looked annoyed, but that only made her look better in my eyes. She was beautiful in her sweat pants and jersey shirt. I couldn't take my eyes off of her, even though she easily kept hers off of me.

"Can I use your bathroom?" I asked, looking at her mom.

She smiled before nodding. "Yes, I'll- matter fact, Camryn, can you show our guest to the restroom?" She asked, giving her a stern look.

Cam looked at me with a stank face before standing. "Follow me." She said, leaving the room.

I followed behind her, not holding my tongue any longer. She was really acting funny, ignoring me.

"Yo mom look beautiful." I said, hoping to start a conversation.

She didn't say nothing.

"So what's up?" I asked her.

She kept walking, leading me up the stairs.

"So you ignoring me?" I asked.

She huffed as she turned the corner and pointed to the end of the hall. "Try not to get lost on your way out." She said, now looking down at her phone.

"Camryn." I said more seriously.

She rolled her eyes before finally looking at me. "What do you possibly want Riley?" She answered.

Her face showed so many emotions, I couldn't help but worry about her.

"I wanna know what's wrong with you?" I asked her.

She rolled her eyes again. "Do you have to use the bathroom or not?" She asked.

I should've just fell back and let her go, but I couldn't.

"I'm sorry." I told her.

She looked at me in shock. "So it was you?" She asked angrily.

"What was me?" I asked her.

"The rumor, about me throwing up." She said looking like she was about to cry.

"Why would I start something like that?" I asked.

She smacked her lips. "Maybe because I shut you down for ride to the party, I don't know." She shrugged.

"You know that wasn't me." I told her. "I would never try to hurt you."

She looked me up and down briefly as her eyes got glossy. She was trying to hold them back, but she couldn't. She couldn't hide from me.

"Don't cry, please don't-

Before I could finish my sentence she had burst out into tears. The sight of her hurt felt like my heart was being stomped on. I truly felt her pain.

My first reaction was to pull her into a hug and let her cry in my chest. She didn't fight away as she cried out.

"I hate living. I hate my life and I hate constantly being judged." She sobbed.

I rubbed her back as I held her in my arms.

"I won't judge you." I told her honestly.

I could see through her tough guy act and from the moment I stepped into her house, I knew something was bothering her.

"You don't know me Riley." She cried more. "You don't know the stuff I've done. If you did, then you would judge me." She said looking up at me.

Her wet eyes, messy hair and soft side was all I needed to see. She wasn't perfect but she was perfect to me, and she was wrong about herself.

"You're don't have to be prefect Camryn, not for me, or anybody else." I said, grabbing her hand into mine.

What happened next caught us both by surprise. She leaned in and pressed her lips onto mine. They was softer than any lips I ever touched, instantly making my heart run.

It could've been a thank you kiss or just her being vulnerable but either way I couldn't help but kiss her back. I pulled her body close to mine as she pushed me against the wall, kissing me more forceful than before. When she pulled away, her eyes locked into mine.

"I needed to hear that." She whispered, pecking my lips again.

"Im serious." I laughed a little. " I'm kinda liking this side of you." I complimented.

"What side?" She asked, smiling harder than I ever seen her smile before.

"The not so perfect side." I told her.

Her face softened up. We were still chest to chest as she looked into my eyes. I wanted to say a million things to her but when she squeezed me tighter, I grew speechless.
