Chapter 4

I quickly began my run to the airport. Normally I didn't go on a plane; I usually would just run there, but Forks was too far away for my taste. I fixed my appearance and quietly entered. Everyone around me was in a rush. I sighed and walked over to the ticket area. "One ticket for Port Angeles please." I said sweetly. The lady smiled, obviously falling for my act. Geezz; all you have to do is smile and act polite and no questions are asked. That would be helpful I thought happily. "Here you go honey. Now if you need anything, don't be afraid to ask." She said seriously. I nodded, also acting serious. "Thank you." I said sweetly. I walked toward the area to get onto the plane. I was happy to see that I got a window seat. No one sat next to me, which also pleased me. Everyone probably thought that I was running away. I wish I thought unhappily. Hmm...maybe I could live with them I thought sarcastically. Rolling my eyes I actually started thinking about it. They'd probably would like me for me, and not for my powers. I sighed, looking out the window. I closed my eyes and thought of my plan. I was going to run to the Cullens, and block my mind so that Edward wouldn't be able to find me. I wasn't sure what to do about Alice though. I smirked suddenly. I went into deep concentration and blocked my entire being from Alice's visions. After a couple of hours, I stopped, pleased. There was still a couple of hours left in my flight, so I decided to take a nap. The sounds of people walking and moving around woke me up. I yawned and gladly left the stuffy plane. I stretched as I suddenly entered the forest sneakily. I closed my eyes, concentrating on how to get to the Cullens house. When I finally got there, I silently gasped in amazement. The house held no words other than truly astonishing. I leaned against the one tree, arms and feet crossed, looking both casual and not a threat. I suddenly unblocked myself from both Edward and Alice. I stood there for what seemed like ever, but was only a couple of seconds. Suddenly they were all outside. They quickly took in my casual stance and they all seemed to relax once they saw it was me; a "little girl". I huffed annoyed, and a small smile lit up Edward's lips. I glared at him and blocked my mind. He slightly gasped; he had just been able to read my mind and suddenly he couldn't. I wiggled my eyebrows at him and he slightly cocked his head to the side. I sighed and stood up straight. They all suddenly got back into a slight fighting stance. I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms over my chest. I looked over all of them, seeing both their strong and weak spots. Carlisle surprised me by speaking up. "We don't mean to be rude, but, who are you?" he asked curiously. I smiled that smile of mine and stated calmly, My name's Bel." They all seemed to glance at each other. "May we ask what you're doing here?" he asked, still curious. I was a little worried about what I should say. "Well." I stated calmly. "I was sent to destroy you." They all looked at me shocked. "Don't worry." I stated calmly. "It's like I want to. It's more that I HAVE to." I explained casually. "Why do you have to?" Alice asked curiously/confused. "The Volturri don't give second chances." I stated somewhat dramatically. I stood there as that slowly sunk in. "But you're just a human. We could destroy you in a second." Rosalie growled confidently. "I'm...different than you're regular human." I struggled to explain. Once again, they all seemed to look at each other. I rolled my eyes and sighed, this was taking wayyy longer than I had originally had planned. I should of been killing, not casually talking to them. "I really don't want to kill you." I stated once again somewhat sadly. "Then don't." Carlisle stated quickly. I raised my eyebrows in disbelief. "Exscuse me?" I asked, amazed. "Join us." he stated, looking around at his entire family. I swallowed deeply, unsure. Wait. Why was I thinking about this? I should of automatically said no, and gotten to the killing. Yet something was stopping me. Alice cautiously started walking toward me. She took my hand and smiled warmly at me. "There's a different way of life." she stated simply. I closed my eyes and sighed knowing what I had chosen. "Fine." I stated simply. Suddenly she squealed happily and hugged me. "Geeezzz." I exclaimed pretending to cover my ears. "Get used to it." Bella stated instantly liking me. I smiled at her, then slowly smiled at everyone. "Well. Come in." Esme said warmly, taking my hand and leading me inside.
