Chapter 3

The next day I woke up and could feel something different in the air. I sighed, knowing that I wouldn't like what was going on. I got up and looked in my closet. I decided on wearing something that Aro would like; the Volturi cloak. I shuddered just thinking about it. I got dressed and left my hair down, not sure what else to do with it. I slowly walked outside to the practice grounds, knowing that was where they would be. Felix saw me and walked down with me. He looked at my cloak in astonishment; I never wore it unless I was about to be sent on a "mission". I looked up at him uneasily and shook my head slowly back and forth. He looked at me sort of scared and put his arm around me. I put my head on his shoulder and sighed deeply. "You'll be fine." he whispered hoarsely. I nodded; everyone knew that I was absolutely amazing at my job (as you can see, she's very modest). They just didn't like it when I left because it usually took me a couple of months to finish one. I stood up straight and we walked towards the field in silence. Felix squeezed my hand before going to his spot in line. I quickly put my hood up and look at Aro, prepared. "You're going to go and destroy a pretty big clan." he said smiling. I nodded, totally and completely unaware of why he was smiling. Oh, I know, it wasn't him that was leaving to go and destroy a PRETTY BIG clan. Ugh. That guy disgusts me. Aro was completely unaware of my evil thoughts about him which made me slightly happy. He continued, unaware that I wasn't paying attention. "You're going to destroy the Cullens." he stated simply. I glanced up at him surprised. From what I had heard of the Cullens, they seemed perfectly fine. I somewhat respected them, and that's coming from me, the vampire slayer. "Read my mind for the details." he stated in a bored tone. I nodded and took in what he wanted me to. Basically, he wanted Edward, Bella, Alice, and Nessie. I only knew a little about them, so I gathered background information on all of the Cullens. He wanted me to destroy the rest of them. I swallowed but nodded my head. "Goodbye Bel. Good luck." he said, dismissing me. I stood up and walked, well okay ran, back to my room. I decided to dress casually in shorts, a plain shirt, and my favorite/lucky converse. I put my hair up and put a hair band in also. I looked around my room and grabbed money, knowing I would need it. I quickly left my room and started to walk through the gloomy corridors. "Good luck." Alec whispered. I turned around to look at him, unsure. I hugged him, and he tightly hugged me back. He gently kissed my on top of my head. We stayed like that for a couple of seconds before I pulled away. "Don't wait for me to come back." I whispered. "Try and find love." I told him quietly. He sighed and shook his head. "I'll always be waiting for you." he disagreed. I gently shook my head. "Goodbye Alec." I stated simply. I ran into the forest before he could respond.
