As I soon as I wake up, I feel a breath of fresh air overcome me. Then I realise... I'm 16 today! I jump up and I can smell dads special for Thursday's pancakes and syrup! I shove my dressing gown on over my 'PJs ' which consist of a cropped vest top and grey shorts and bed socks. I shove my phone in my pocket and head downstairs, the smell of spices over come me.
"Morning Dad!" I say cheerily
"Morning darlin'" he says looking up from the stove smiling
'He's not wished me happy birthday' I think puzzled "so dad today's the big day!"
"What big day?"
"Y'know...."
"no nothing on today " he says checking the calendar
I frown at him and go upstairs to text Noah

Furious I don't reply why does no one remember ! Dad shouts me for breakfast but I say I'm not hungry. Instead I have a long bath with The Comforter bubble bar from lush, my favourite. Once I'm dry I get dressed, I put on a my crocheted white jumper, blue skinny jeans and black river island boots and head back downstairs. My mum must've got back from the shop, and Tom has finally emerged from his room. But what shocks me is Noah is there. All of them, sat round our small kitchen table looking grave.
"Wha- what's up?" I say stammering
"Penny..." Noah starts
"I'll say it " says dad interrupting him
"Penny we want to tell you something"
At this point I'm getting nervous I can feel my chest rising and collapsing more rapidly at every second. Suddenly, they all grin "HAPPY BIRTHDAY ! " they shout in unison!
I shriek as they all gather round me and pull me to the table
One by one they give me there gifts, off my mum and dad I got a Canon Ti3! Off Tom, as usual a voucher , but this time it surprised me it was for Selfridges , I was surprised as I didn't even know, he knew what that was ! Then my most valued gift was off Noah, a thick scrapbook titled "Penny's Adventures" inside it consisted of all our happy memories; ticket stubs, photos, sketches so many sweet things
"And that's not all" Noah says with a flourish
