PREVIOUSLY ON THE VAMPIRE DIARIES…

I turned around and was about to go met Stefan when I ran into that light haired boy from the bonfire.

 “Oh I’m sorry. I wasn’t watch where I was going.” I said.

Man, how many times have I said that since I got here … too many!

Note to self: You’re a vampire! You’re not supposed to be clumsy.

“It’s Okay. It was my fault anyway.” He said.

“Have I met you before? you seem familiar?” he asked

“Err I’m not sure but I’m Briella Salvatore. Stefan’s sister.” I said.

“That’s it. You look like him. Well I’m Matt Donovan, Vicki’s Brother.”

 So that was his name.

“I saw what happened to her the other night, is she okay?” I asked.

“Yeah she should be. Well I’ll see you ‘round Briella.” He said before leaving.

Just then the bell ran indicating lunch was over.

Damn I was supposed to meet Stefan.

I quickly pulled out my phone and texted him.

     Stefan

Sorry I got held up but I’ll speak to you later

            Briella.

The day had flown by fast and I was just putting my things away in my locker when I heard someone’s footsteps running towards me.

 I started to panic.

 What if it’s him?

My heart was thumping out of my chest and my breathing hitch up.

I scanned the area around me, looking for a hiding spot that he wouldn’t discover me in.

 But there was nothing.

 My heart was now racing.

“Briella!” I heard the person shout.

 Relief flooded over me.

 It was Jeremy.

“Hey.” I said closing my locker.

“Hey I was just wondering what you’re up to tomorrow?”

 “Nothing. Why?”

“Well the comet will be in town and we could just go and hang out.”

 “Sounds good!” I said.

We had now let the school and were almost at the gates of the school.

“So how’s Vicki? Any news?” I asked.

“Not that I’ve heard of but Matt seemed better so she must be okay.”

The conversation finished not long after that and we both headed our separate ways.

That night I went for a walk.

I just couldn’t deal with the bickering of Stefan and Damon tonight.

And that’s when I saw Jer stoned and laughing to himself.

 Oh god.

 “Jer!” I shouted.

He smiled and waved at me.

 I walked up to him.

“Hey what have you been doing?” I asked him,

 He just laughed.

“Hi Brie” he said walking closer and tripping over a huge crack in the pavement (to be fair I probably would have trip over that monster of a hole too, stoned or not).

Jeremy came tumbling towards me and I quickly caught him before he knocked me over too.

Jeremy laughed before looking up at me.

“You have pretty eyes.” He chuckled.

 I rolled my eyes.

“What I’m I going to do with you?” I sighed

 Jeremy smiled and stood up.

“Come on, let’s get you home.” I said helping him home.

I walked Jeremy up to the door.

“I’ll see you tomorrow at the comet.” I said before I turned to leave.

“Wait!” Jeremy said grabbing my wrist.

I turned around to face him.

 “I’m sorry.” He said.

 “For what?” I asked.

“For you to have to see me like this. Can we still be friends or have I put you off ‘cos I just don’t want to be alone and-”

“No,” I said cutting him off. “And you’re never alone, well, as long as you have me.”

 Jeremy smiled.

“Well bye.” I said turning to leave for the second time.

 “Wait!” Jer said again.

I turned around only to be engulfed in a bear hug.

“That’s in case you change your mind.” He said before leaving and shutting the door behind him.

I was about to leave for the third time when I heard the commotion from inside the house and ouldn’t but help listening.

“Jeremy? Jeremy, where were you?” A woman’s voice said.

“More stoner stories? Look, Jenna, I get it, you were cool. And so that’s ... that’s cool.” Jeremy replied.

“Oh, no, no, no!“ Jenna said.

I heard something whistle through the air until it hit something with a light thud.

“Ow! Why? Why ... why did you do that?” Jeremy screeched.

“Listen up! Quit ditching class or you're grounded. No discussion.” Jenna said sternly.

“Parental authority, I like it. Sleep tight.” Jeremy said as he trudged up the stairs.

What was I going to do with him?
