the impact jarred her wings
shredding bone and gold filaments
into the concrete pavement of the city
a miasma of ancient, buried myths
long limbs, waist-thick hair, strange eyes

(she will burn your mortal body into ashes)

she suddenly fell too fast, a star
bursting open like a supernova
spilling angeldust on the passerby
where her body split open into soil
the earth gives out small tremors
welcome to the land of freewill

she continues to sleep for decades
her tomb of roses remains hidden
the chest cavity of her grave a garden
in the deepest parts of the land
where both magic and heaven exists

(she has become a deserter of the heavenly cause)

she will only wake in time of a new era
machineries and gunpowder and science
trailblazers of innovation and capitalism
created by hands hungry for power
