Hinila nya si Ate Via, tas nauna nang maglakad samen. Syempre, nasa likuran kami, at medyo malayo sila samen ng konti.
Kitang-kita namen kung pano sila mag-usap, pero hindi namen rinig yung conversation kasi nasa may kalsada na rin kami at may mga sasakyan na dumadaan.
“Tingnan mo nga yung ginawa mo, Shibata!” I castigated him. “Baka mamaya mag-away pa sila. You’re such a flirt.”
“Look, I’m doing them a favor.” Bulong ni Shibata.
Huh? Anudaw?
I gave him a questioning look.
“They seem to like each other, but somehow, they can’t seem to admit it.” He answered my unspoken question.
“Kelan ka pa naging Good Samaritan, hah, Shibata?”
“Nung tulungan kitang tumawag ng security para madala ka sa ospital nung mahimatay ka.” He then gave me a smug look.

“Well?” tanong pa nya, then gave me his smirk.
God! I want to wipe that smirk from his face.
“What do you want me to say?” I cocked my head to the side.
“I see gratitude towards the person who saved your life isn’t included in your dictionary either.”
Bago pa ko makasagot sa tanong nya… more like, before I could even think of a retort, biglang may humarang sa daan namen.
