Maddie's Pov
1 Week Later

It's been a week since homecoming and almost 2 weeks since I hung out with Luke. I admit I do miss him since we didn't get that much time to spend with each other. You guys also just met dipshit.

I'm now in my room watching Netflix because I don't have a life. Luke and I were texting before he had to go play a show in California.

Luke: Babe, I have to go on. I'll text you when the shows over, I promise.

Me: Okay. Have fun

Luke: I will

I put my phone down next to me. I put my head against my headboard and just think about everything. The first time Luke texted me I didn't really like him. I thought that he was a creep and I had an uneasy feeling about him.

Now look at me, I've become happier and people around me have noticed that. Who would've thought that a boy that accidentally texted me one day would make me this happy.

"MADELYN! GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE NOW!" I heard my older brother yell. I groaned before getting up off my bed and heading downstairs to see what he could possibly want from me.

"Yes," I said sweetly as possible not trying to piss him off.

"YOU DIDN'T DO YOUR FUCKING CHORES TODAY!" My brother yelled. You could tell that he wasn't sober, he was drunk as hell.

"Sorry, I was sick," I croakily said. I had a stuffy nose, my throat hurt, and I had a headache, pretty sure he just made it worst by yelling.

"That isn't an excuse!" My brother spit in my face. I soon felt a sting on my right cheek, I put my right hand on my now red cheek. I felt my tears slide down my face, I tried to not cry but I couldn't.

"Do your fucking chores. By the time I get back they should be done," My brother said kicking my left leg making me fall down to the wooden floor. He kicks me one more time right in my stomach making me groan, he turns around and leaves the house.

I sat there crying. I never felt so helpless in my life. I couldn't stand up, I've tried so many times. I couldn't just sit here and do nothing so I had to crawl back to my room.

After what felt like forever, I finally reached my room. I was right below my bed, I couldn't stand up to get on it. My phone was on the bed and I couldn't reach it.

I just sat at the bottom of my bed and cry. I forgot all about Siri usually, I had it off but I remembered that I put it on so I didn't have to type my homework questions.

"Hey Siri," I flatly say. It hurts to talk but I needed to.

"What can I help you with Maddie?" The Australian voice said. Yes, I had the Australian accent on instead of American because it sounded better, sue me.
