Damon sighs then goes up to my desk and throws me my purse.

"Come on." He says.

"What?" I ask.

"I'm taking you to your house, collect anything that will help us and then we're going to my house and the three of us will have a serious conversation."

I sigh and pull my phone out to call Delilah.

Under no circumstance will I let him see Ellie.

"Hello?" She picks up.

"Hey, Delilah. You home?" I ask.

"No. Mason invited us over for Halloween remember?"

"Oh. Yeah. Ok. So, how's everything."

"Fine. She's missing you a lot."

"I miss her even more. So, when are you going back to mystic falls?"

"November 4th."

"OK. Well, I gotta go. Tell her I love her a lot. And that I miss her. I'll try to Skype as soon as I can."

"OK, bye."

"Bye." I say and hang up.

"The house is clear. We can go." I say.

Damon looks a bit confused then nods.

"But, I need to change first." I say.

"Why?" He asks.

"Because, I've been in this jumper the whole day." I say and go to the closet.

I pick a plain white T-shirt and skinny jeans.

I go into the bathroom and put them on. I'll add my white converse and I'm almost ready to go.

I put on foundation, eye liner, mascara, and lip gloss. I then pull my hair in a tight ponytail, and I'm ready to go.

I get out of the bathroom, put my shoes on and take my purse.

"Let's go." I say and open the door.

He turns around and he has my phone in his hand.

"So cute." He says.

Did he see a picture of Ellie?

"Who?" I say and go closer to him.

He shows me the phone and I see a picture Mom and I.

I'm standing in front of her looking up at her and she's looking down at me. She's holding my hands pretending to help me walk.

"I remember that day perfectly. It was before my very first ballet recital." I say as a tear escapes my eye.

Stop crying already.

I then take the phone and head to the door.

He follows me and I decide to take the stairs.

"Why the stairs?" He asks.

I shrug and continue descending.

I sit shotgun and he starts driving.

We are stopped at the gate by Paul.

Damon lowers my window and looks at Paul.

"Mr. Salvatore, you may pass." Paul says.

Damon rolls the window up again then continues driving.

"Compulsion comes in handy sometimes, huh?" I ask looking out the window.

"Yeah. But, I don't use it on everyone." He says.

"Have you ever used it on me?"

The car then comes to a stop.

"Angel, look at me." He says.

I turn to my side and look at him.

"What I'm about to say is probably the most selfish thing I've ever said to anyone in my whole life." He says.

He then places his palm on my cheek.

I immediately feel the usual spark between us.

How can a spark like that be felt between a niece and her uncle, and not between two lovers?

He then takes in a deep breath and our eyes lock. His deep icy blue eyes piercing into my hazel ones, making me melt.

"Angel, whether you're my niece or not, I... I love you, Angel. I would never use compulsion on you. Ever. I know I must have taken you by surprise, but, it's true. I've never felt like this with anyone. Not even Katherine. I know you don't know her but when you do, you'll know that this says something. I don't even know why I'm telling you this. I've never confessed my feelings to anyone." He says then lowers his hand and envelopes mine with both of his.

"You bring the good out of me, Angel. I don't want to lose that. I don't want to lose you." He continues.

"I-" I start.

"You don't have to say anything. I know you've already been through a lot. I just needed you to hear it. I'll drive you to your house, you'll get anything that could help, then we'll go to mine and the three of us will sit down and talk. If you don't want to talk, I can drive you back here after picking the stuff up. Ok? It's all up to you. If you just want to believe that I'm your uncle and live with it, it's fine too. It's all your choice, ok, Angel?"

I just nod.

"You're not forced to do anything."

"Salvatore, you're making me feel like the pope is asking me the questions they ask before marrying two people." I say faking a smile.

He examines my face for a second then smiles.

"It's amazing how incredible your fake smile is. But, I'll never fall for it." He says then sits properly again.

I sigh and turn to face the window.

I watch the scenery change throughout the visit before drifting off to sleep.

"Angel, wake up." I hear someone say as I'm gently shaken.

"Are we there yet?" I ask slowly opening my eyes.

"Are you hungry?" Damon asks.

I nod my head slowly.

"Come on." He says and opens his door, getting out of the car.

I get out to find the grill in front of me.

We enter and sit in a table.

"Hello, what would you like to order?" A waiter says.

"I'll have a chocolate muffin and bourbon."  I say.

"Just a bourbon." Damon says.

The waiter writes everything down then leaves.

"You know, I used to be a waiter." Damon says.

"What?"

"Yeah."

"If I may ask, what was Damon Salvatore doing as a waiter?"

"It was way back, in 1860, I was working part time in college."

"I'm impressed." I say.

The door of the grill opens and Stefan enters.

He sees us and comes sits next to Damon.

"I thought you were coming to meet in the house." Stefan says.

"I thought you said that you'll stay all day at home." Damon says.

"Well, I... I'll tell you two everything."
