Chapter 14- Greener On The Other Side

"Venite a conoscere voi tutto quello che posso."

"What did you just say?"

Mathew bites his lip for a second and looks down at the table while speaking, "Get to know you all I can." He blushes, making me smile.

"Vous pouvez apprendre à me connaître dès maintenant." My smile widens since I for once actually know what I'm saying.

Mathew's eyes widen, "What language was that?"

"French. I remember a tiny bit."

"That's so cool. I've always wanted to learn French."

"Favorite band?" I ask. It's always my go to question.

"Black Veil Brides by far. Have you heard of them?" He asks. His eyes seem to light up when he mentions the band name.

"Yeah, I know a bit. Only a few songs though. Maybe a whole album, I don't know."

Mathew's smile widens, "It just means that I'll have to show you them."

"And I'll show you My Chemical Romance and Muse. Unless you know them of course."

"I don't live under a rock. Of course I know who they are." He jokes.

Mathew seems to be more amazing by the second and I can't stand it. I'm not supposed to like someone this easily.

"Disney?" I ask out of the blue. This is my second go to question.

"You mean one of the best film companies of all time?"

"Bingo." I smile.

"Can I ask you a question that will tear some friendships apart." He asks and scoots more towards to me. Our faces seem to get closer as well, "The Corpse Bride or The Nightmare Before Christmas?" He whispers in a serious tone, making me giggle.

"The Corpse Bride. I'm sorry but I find it to be better mate." I quickly say with ease.

"You're kidding." He fake gasps and clutches his heart.

"Dead serious."

"Was that supposed to be a pun?" He cocks his eyebrow.

"Maybe." I mumble and lightly laugh.

"B-But Jack Skellington." He pouts.

"Dude, Johnny Depp plays Victor. He's the hottest 52 year old male on the planet." I say in defense. I shall defend The Corpse Bride till the end!

"But Jack has such curiosity. That's a great quality."

"Jack's curiosity almost got Santa killed." I smirk, "Plus, Victor's terrified yet curios and somewhat brave."

"I guess you're right, but whatever, I shall stand by Nightmare forever." He proclaims.

"And I shall stand by Corpse Bride forever!" I shout and put my fist into the air.

"You're such a dork." He smiles and shakes his head, making me blush.

"So are you, you...turd."

"Nice job." He sarcastically comments.

"Thanks." I brightly smile.

Jasmine never seemed to come around with my food, but that's okay. I was just fine talking to Mathew. He's actually a really nice person and he seems pretty cool. I was just hoping that he'd help me get over Phil but that appears to be impossible. I like him and all but not in that way. I'm sure that we'll be close friends though as Phil seems to be slowly getting out of my tight grasp around him.
