Sweet melody

I walk down the sidewalk and I can hear the click clack of my sneakers as I do so. I’m meeting Fi and the whole gang at a café that I have been wanting to go to for quite some time. It was run by this nice old man and lady who all the kids called “the Trunks”. They had good tea, or so I herd, but the joint is notorious among the young people of Aaa. That single reputation among them was my only problem. I didn’t want to talk to them and junk.

I enter in the room of the café and the smell of fresh brewed coffee beans, and fresh baked apple pies, fills my nostrils. I already know where their sitting, even though the room is filled with obnoxious, busy noise and intoxicating laughter, yet Fi gets up anyway, her bunny ears of her favorite hat hops as she does so, and struts happily struts towards me.

“Waz Up! PG! where over here man!” she yells adventurously, if that’s even possible. I give them a I recondition  nod and wave, and I walk to meet her.

“Guess what!?” she says, excitement in her eyes and voice.

“What is it? Flam prince is on fire again… but wait that’s everyday anyway.” I stifle a laugh as I reply while “shorta’s  burnin’ on the dance floor” rings in my head.

“No,” she pipes, not reacting to my burst of actual, laughable comedy, “Marshall Lee the Vampire King will, and I mean will, be going to our school man! Isn’t that mathematical?”

“Oh Yeah,” I roll my eyes,  “let me get a tattoo now with his face on my ass. How about it?” I cross my arms and tilt my head to add effect.

“Common ,PG, he’s cool-“, I interrupt her before she finishes

“When ice queen is hot,” a smirk pops across my face and even Fiona holds in laugh, but Fiona shakes it off as she tries to give me a stern face.

She pouts as we walk back to the table where everybody else is sitting at. I fist bumbed monochrome as I sit down. We would do our signature hand shake but, cake was glued to him like cat to catnip (writer: the puns are killing me XD).

I set my stuff down and looked at the menu. The menu has a pretty good dense selection with solid descriptions, but I already knew what I wanted. All I needed was some sweetened passion fruit tea. Which was good, I’ve been craving the tea for a long while. The waitress comes over, her high pony tail bouncing with perkiness.

”can I get you anything? We have a great special on muffins today,” the waitress smiles as she speaks.

“I’ll have to turn down your offer on the muffins, but I would like a passion fruit tea, sweetened with cream, not sugar, and chilled with ice, if you don’t mind , miss-“ I looked on her name tag. “gum drop.” She nodded and tredded along to wherever she was going.

Cake just looked at me with this look that I didn’t completely understand. “What,” I say, her  look still chiseled in her face.

“That sister was all over you sugar cube,” she replies sassiness oozing out of her words.

“Whoa! Hold up, no way in nightosphere was she flirting with me. She was just being nice.”

“our poor, poor bubble, unable to notice his effects of his sweet, sweet hormones,” Fiona chimmed. All I did was “tsck” the phrase. It isn’t possible for someone to like me; not even a little but, well at least not in that way.  We finish our meet up after I finish my drink.

As we walked out I noticed how many other took notice of them. They admired them as they walk and looked upon them as citizens to demigods. I, a mere person, had no place amongst the heavenly.

The day went by quickly, I think as I walk done the hallway after the last bell. All I have to worry about it my audition now. Sure, the welcome ceremony was mostly boring, but I had some fun in my classes. Yes actual fun; in actual education at least. The gang wouldn’t meet up until later, since they all had tryouts and stuff. Even I had my own sort of audition to do.
