Three Days Earlier after meeting with Raven.

Walking towards the tour bus I knew what I had to do. Even if it was going to kill us all, especially Andy and I, I still had to do it.

“Hey, maybe Jake found her,” I heard CC say from where ever he was on the bus. Ash, CC, Jinxx, and Andy came rushing towards me, looks of hope and excitement for news on the black hair red tipped girl they made friends with. They probably thought that she was going to come back, but I knew when I told her what Andy didn’t, she might just stay away from us. The happiness that filled her eyes became bleak once I told her.

“Hey, where’s Little Girl?” Ashley asked. His voice was small and he was worried about her. Maybe it was a good thing I told Raven, if I didn’t I would have competition with Andy and Ashley. I wouldn’t have won her at all then.

“She’s not coming back.” I said, getting rid of any emotion so it seemed like I was telling the truth.

“What, of course she’s coming back,” Andy started.

“No she’s not. I found her in the park and she told me to leave her the hell alone. When I asked why she said that she didn’t want to be seen with us, us freaks. She doesn’t want to see us ever again.” I walked to the kitchen and pulled out a beer trying to calm down before I lost it.

“What, why would she say that?” I heard Jinxx ask.

“No, Raven wouldn’t say that, she doesn’t care about what other people say or think. I know that for a fact.” I heard Andy say.

“Well she does Andy; she said that she was embarrassed to be seen out in public with us.” I looked him in the eye and couldn’t help but feel a small bit guilty for doing this, but we both love her and only one of us would be able to be hers. Besides, he’ll get over it, he did with Hannah, he did with Scout, he did with Juliet, and he will this time with Raven. He’ll find some other girl that he’ll fall for; he shouldn’t have a hard time what with every girl that’s a fan of us mostly like Andy or Ashley.

His eyes, full of hope and excitement a few seconds ago were now full of grief and what looked like a hint of anger. Walking out of the room he grabbed his leather jacket and walked out, slamming the door in his wake. From where we were we could see him start running off in one direction probably heading towards the park to see if she was there.

Hearing a sigh I watched as Ashley and Jinxx walked out and into the bunk area. CC was watching me closely though. He seemed confused and sad but walked away without saying anything, taking a beer with him.

That night, Andy didn’t come back to the tour bus.

Walking around town we called out his name hoping that he would hear us.

But we didn’t find him until three in the morning.

Sitting on a curb with a bottle of whiskey in his hand drinking from it every once in a while he stared down at his boots. He didn’t look up as CC and Ashley helped him up and helps him walk back to the bus. He didn’t say a word as I took the bottle from him and followed them from behind, calling Jinxx to meet us back at the bus letting him know that we found him.

Andy was quiet as Ash and CC lowered him down on the couch as we stood around him, unsure on what to do next. It was then that he looked up at us. His eyes were red and puffy telling us that he had been crying; his blue eyes now seemed dull. Getting up I got him the blanket and pillow from his bunk and brought them out, there was no way he was climbing up to the top bunk like this. He lay down without a complaint and stared ahead as is we weren’t there.

He looked up as Ash brought a trashcan out and put it next to the couch. I was getting ready to get into my own bunk, not being able to take any more of this, when I heard him.

“Raven,” Andy croaked out, his voice scratchy and thick with tears, “I need Raven.  I-I-I need her to come back. I l-l-love her.” Closing the curtain and closing my eyes I tried to block out Andy’s cries as he continued to call out her name with his tears mingling with his voice.

Turning on my side I couldn’t help but feel like the greatest asshole on the planet. Andy was only like this because I lied. But I lied out of love. I love Raven just as much as Andy does, and this was the right thing. If we fought over her, it would ruin everything.

Breathing in slowly, I let the tears quietly fall out, not having to worry about being heard as everyone tried to calm Andy down and fall to sleep.
