I'm very, very sorry if I didn't translate the words correctly. For those that aren't sure, "Lei Sta Arrivando" means... Well, you'll find out later in the chapter. :')

Have fun.

You're probably gonna hate me. ;)

Chapter Thirty-Eight

Rebekah took us all to the garden, opening the gate and bringing us inside. Josh tried to convince Tim that the desiccating vampires weren't dangerous, but failed completely.

"You think my brother Nik is awful, Marcel learned from the best. This is how he treats his so-called friends who betray him. Most of what these poor souls did is no worse than what Josh did. Take Thierry for example," she said, gesturing over to the right where Thierry was bricked to the wall. I felt a pang in my heart. I wanted nothing more than to help him, but I couldn't feed him, it would only prolong his torture. Right now, he probably didn't feel a thing anymore. "He was Marcel's most trusted friend. Klaus tricked him into breaking one of Marcel's rules. Marcel knows this, and yet, he keeps Thierry locked in here, day after day, suffering."

"This is insane!" Tim said.

"Why are you doing this?" Davina asked.

"Because you need to know who you're dealing with. Who you can trust," Rebekah told her.

"Hey," Tim said, moving over to Davina and pulling out a water bottle. "Hey, it's gonna be okay. I mean, you're gonna be alright. Here," he handed her the bottle. "Drink something."

"Davina," Rebekah said. She said something about Klaus, but I was too focused on the way his face began to pale.

Tim began to wheeze, like he was choking on his own breath. He fell forwards, and I caught him before he hit the ground.

"Tim?!" Davina said, going over to him and helping to hold him up.

"It was Klaus," he said. "he made me do it. I didn't even know what I was doing until I made you..."

"Made her what?!" I asked him, frantic.

"Drink," he whispered, falling backwards. He continued to choke, until he fell unconscious.

"Klaus poisoned the water," Rebekah said, realization coming across all of our faces.

To put it simply, Tim was dying. And now, so was Davina. She fell beside him, and Rebekah immediately pulled out her phone and called Klaus.

"Rebekah, where are you?" Klaus asked from the other end of the line.

"I'm with Davina, and she is dying because of your treachery."

"Well, I tried to talk to her out of respect for Marcel, but she made it quite clear she is not our friend. My apologies if you thought she was yours," he said.

Josh had tried to feed Davina his blood, which wasn't working. So I bit into my own wrist and replaced his blood in her mouth with mine. "Drink, Davina."

"Just tell me how to cure her!" Rebekah said. "Vampire blood isn't working, not even Rose's is."

"No, it wouldn't. You see, the poison I compelled Timothy to feed her is quite potent. It's just a matter of time for her."

"For both of them, you diabolical bastard! They're children! You could have dealt with her fairly."

"There is no dealing with those who threaten us. Davina sealed her threat when she chose to stand against me. This was her choice, not mine," he disconnected the line.
