Chapter 19

Jace~

By the angel what just happened... That wasn't his Clary, that thing was no where near his Clary. When she left with Sebastian everyone just sat there in silence stunned by what they just say. Jocelyn was right, their Clary was gone, but he won't stop believing that she was still inside somewhere, he will never lose hope.

Because she never lost hope for him.

But when he saw Sebastian and Clary together what he saw looked real, even though he knew it wasn't, it had hurt. She wasn't being ordered what to do she was doing it herself and he knew that the real Clary was inside screaming.

"What do we do know?" Simon spoke up, his neck was still healing and he still seemed to be in shock.

"I don't know" Jace groaned banging his head on the table

"I just want to know how they knew we were here and how he knew we were at the park" mumbled Alec, he had a point only this group knew where they were going, they never told anyone, only said they were going out and it's doubtful that Sebastian had heard them talking about it

"I don't know that either" Jace groaned again

"I bet not knowing is killing you" Magnus smiled

Jace looked up at him and glared "Don't get on my bad side today Warlock, I'm not in the mood"

Ignoring Jace Alec got Magnus' attention "is there anything to undo what he has done to her, because for one now they have her rune power, second she's our friend, and third I don't want a grumpy Jace around the place it's not fun to live with"

Rolling his eyes Jace pulled out his phone to see he had a text message from Maryse saying 'need to talk, meet at library, bring everyone'

"Maryse wants to talk to us at the library" Jace said

"Great another thing I have to sit outside for" Simon moaned

"Oh grow up" Jace grabbed his jacket " lets go"

When they arrived at he institutes library Maryse, Luke, Jocelyn and Consul Jia Penhallow were there, Jace just stood there clueless of what was going on, Jocelyn stepped forward and looked at him right in the eye.

"I told the Consul about Clary" she said calmly

"You did what?!" Jace yelled at her

"And we have decided that she is a threat to all Shadowhunters and humans" she continued

"Your crazy!" He looked at Luke "you can't let her do this, Clary is still alive in there!"

Sighing Luke stepped forward and grabbed Jocelyn's hand "she is right, Clary is gone" Jace didn't believe him, Luke still had hope he knew it.

"No she isn't! Your lying! She is still in there, you can't kill her, by the angel she is your daughter doesn't that mean anything to you!?"

"I lost my son" Jocelyn yelled "and now I have lost my daughter, of course she means something to me but I know that there is no way we can save her, the council have some of Jonathan's slaves and are trying to undo the procedure but they CAN'T" she stopped and looked at him sadly "and the quicker you realise that Clary is gone the easier it will be for you to forget about her" Jace stared at her anger building up in his body
