🎶: 'Magic Island' by TXT
The ocean waves were rolling back and forth on the beach, gently crashing on the shore. The soft ocean breeze accompanied it, softly rustling the palm tree leaves.
Calming, serene, beautiful, irreplaceable, therapeutic.
That's how it's been the past one hundred years for the two vampires.
"You got everything?" Yeonjun yelled from downstairs.
Beomgyu poked his head out of the closet.
"Soon!"
"Okay!"
Beomgyu grabbed the picnic blanket stowed away in the back, and sighed as he looked around his room.
The same room where he was one hundred years ago, studying ways to keep the oceans clean and healthy and all.
Now, it was his permanent bedroom.
He walked down the stairs, into the living room. The couches were still made of wicker and wood, and it was the exact same furniture as it was a hundred years ago.
In the kitchen stood Yeonjun, placing a few bottles of spare blood into their picnic basket, along with some flowers.
"Where did you find them?" Beomgyu asked.
"Oh, around the fruit trees."
"Nice."
Yeonjun took the basket off the kitchen counter.
"Come on."
They exited the door and started walking through the jungle forest.
It was late afternoon; the sun was already beginning to set, painting the sky in warm colors.
Beomgyu and Yeonjun walked towards the beach, their feet crunching the fallen leaves and other leafy debris.
Until they reached the golden sand.
"We could have flown," Beomgyu laughed.
"I still prefer walking, if I must be honest."
"Same."
They took their shoes off, holding them, and started walking towards the beach.
Beomgyu took the picnic blanket out and spread it over the sand.
Meanwhile, Yeonjun went back to the jungle, collecting some sticks and getting two rocks as well.
He came back to find Beomgyu sitting on the picnic blanket, and digging a small hole into the grainy golden sand.
"Ready for a campfire?" Yeonjun asked.
"Yes."
Yeonjun placed the wood down into the hole, making sure the blanket was a little further away, before scraping the two rocks together.
Little sparks bursted from the rocks, and fell onto the wood. Shortly after, there was enough heat and energy for a little fire.
Yeonjun smiled in satisfaction when he saw it.
"Bingo."
He tossed the rocks aside and laid back on the blanket. Beomgyu joined him, letting his head rest on Yeonjun's chest.
They just listened to the ocean waves beside them, saying nothing.
It was quiet, minus their breathing.
But it was calming.
Beomgyu exhaled.
"I'm glad... we're here forever for all eternity."
