Four days passed quickly, thankfully.

Directly after eating breakfast (and taking a short break to digest their food) on the morning of, Yeonjun and Beomgyu dressed and equipped themselves for rock climbing.

After double checking they had everything, they made their way to the mountains, ready to uncover the secrets of the cave paintings.

"Can I throw the grappling hook?" Beomgyu asked.

Yeonjun had just thrown his up onto the boulders high above, and was about to throw Beomgyu's, but the latter insisted, wanting to take care of it herself.

So of course, Yeonjun let him.

"Okay, try it."

Beomgyu swung the rope in his hands and then tossed it up into the air, letting it grab itself onto the rock. He tugged on it, making sure it was secure, which is was.

"Wow, how did you learn it?" Yeonjun asked.

"Well..."

Beomgyu looked at him.

"With observation."

"Heh."

Lastly, the two fastened their helmets, and then started ascending up the mountain, just as they did a few nights ago.

This time, they were in broad daylight, and the sweat definitely trickled down their backs and foreheads as the altitude increased.

Beomgyu was completely out of breath when they reached their summit, and Yeonjun was in no better state.

"Water break?"

"Definitely."

So they took a short break, sitting by the ledge as they drank some water. Well, basically half the bottle they each carried.

"If we were out of shape, this would be worse," Yeonjun remarked.

"Agreed."

Once the two were much more rested, they entered the cave. Yeonjun flicked his flashlight on, illuminating the whole place.

Beomgyu in the meantime took his tools necessary for determining the age of rocks out, and inserted them into the cave walls, chipping away carefully without accidentally cracking the paintings too much.

"Is it tiring?" Yeonjun asked.

"Not really. I'm used to it."

After chipping the stone enough to see the inside, Beomgyu reached his hand out to touch the surface of the rocks.

He also leaned in to take a better closer look at the layers, which caused a rather surprised expression to form on his face.

"Oh my."

"What is it?" Yeonjun asked.

"This is really interesting..."

"What do you mean?"

Beomgyu pulled the tools out.

"I would have thought that this rock would be really old, taking it into perspective that this may be prehistoric."

Yeonjun could sense a certain three-letter-word coming.

"But?"

"But... these rocks are not older than 150 years."

"150 years?!"

It's that little?!

Perplexed, Yeonjun stared at the cave walls.
