"Did you pack a suit by any chance?" Beomgyu asked with no context.

The two were sitting by the banks of a river, one Beomgyu usually went to for fishing.

Since Yeonjun pretty much gave up on his scientific research for the time being, and knowing he probably won't have vacation for another few months, he decided he'll just relax for the next couple of days.

Maybe even almost an entire week.

Where was I?

Ah yes, Yeonjun accompanied Beomgyu while fishing today.

"A suit?" Yeonjun frowned.

"Mhm."

"I'll have to check... I don't think I took any suits with me on this trip."

"Well, I have a spare in case of you don't."

"Why did you take a suit with you even?"

Beomgyu rolled up the line, hissing when he realized the fish got away, and stuck some bait on the hook.

"In case W.O.W needs me on a video conference. Gotta look presentable after all."

"Oh."

I should maybe do the same in the future.

"Though I don't think that's what the suit is for, right?"

And there it was again.

The pretty obvious pink on Beomgyu's ears.

"Well... you're not wrong."

"Can you tell me what it's for even?" Yeonjun asked.

"It's a bit weird..."

Beomgyu scratched his nape in embarrassment.

"It's my quarter birthday."

"Oh?"

He perched a brow.

"Yeah, I tend to have a small celebration for every quarter birthday until I turn a year older. And... I want you to join."

He didn't have to continue.

"I'd happily do this with you!" Yeonjun exclaimed.

"Really?"

Beomgyu's eyes were shiny.

"Yes! Besides, my birthday is in a quarter year too, so we'll have all the more to celebrate."

As if his eyes couldn't get shinier, they did.

"You're right!"

And Yeonjun knew tonight was the perfect chance.

Dusk had fallen on the little island. But there was a light shining brighter than the stars, and that was coming from the front porch.

Yeonjun and Beomgyu spent most of the day decorating the porch with flowers, fairy lights Beomgyu had packed for this event, and cooking up a storm.

And of course, they had dolled themselves up.

"Here."

Beomgyu laid out a spare white shirt first on his bed, before picking it up and walking up to Yeonjun.

"I think we have a similar build."

He spread the fabric over Yeonjun's chest, keeping the shoulder edges between his fingers.

"Perfect!"

Oh was Yeonjun thankful Beomgyu couldn't feel his pounding heart on his shoulder. With a smile, he took the dress shirt in his hands.
