"Indeed."

Beomgyu's next question was relatively... normal.

"What are we gonna do now?"

"We most definitely can't stay in Seoul. I don't want to be around humans, not when I'm a threat to them, and they to us."

"Then where do we go?"

Yeonjun smiled.

"Where it all started."

It didn't take long for Beomgyu to figure it out.

"You sure that's the best idea?"

"Definitely. We're safe there."

"Okay. What are we waiting for?"

"I will erase the memory of this apocalypse from the minds of the humans, and replace it with a two year long pandemic," Yeonjun continued.

"What about Taehyun? Or Soobin, or Kai? Should we turn them too?"

Yeonjun shook his head.

"Two people disappearing versus five... is a difference."

Beomgyu sighed.

"You're right... can we at least make an exception for them?"

Yeonjun nodded.

"We can. Call them."

Beomgyu reached for his phone, and dialed Soobin's number, knowing he'll be active at this hour.

What none of them expected was for not just Soobin, but also Kai and Taehyun to be found in the same frame.

And in the same bed.

"Gosh, why are you calling at this hour— HOLY SHIT!" Soobin yelled.

"Like my eyes?" Beomgyu asked with a smirk.

Soobin became even paler, while Kai's throat formed a clog and Taehyun simply proved his eyes could be bigger than they could possibly be.

"I do," Yeonjun grinned.

The phone screen froze, or maybe, the three themselves froze.

"HOW THE FUCK ARE YOU ALIVE?!" Taehyun yelled.

Yeonjun sighed.

"Here we go again."

He explained to the three everything again, from how he knew of vampires before any of them, and ended with sharing that he turned Beomgyu.

"You're both fucking insane," Soobin commented.

"We know," Beomgyu said.

That much was a given now.

"Does this mean... you're gonna leave us forever?" Taehyun asked.

"It's our only way of staying safe. Same as how I need to erase everyone's memory and replace it, as I can't bring the dead back," Yeonjun said.

"Oh god..."

"You guys thought this through, right?" Kai asked.

"Yes."

"And us? Will we remember you?" Soobin questioned.

"You're an exception," Beomgyu said.

"We trust you enough. But you must all swear: not a word about the truth to anyone. Otherwise, there will be major consequences. Not just from us, but from many other vampires too. You don't want their fangs in your neck," Yeonjun demanded.
